If all the events in Spartan Ops is 100% canon, a lot of crap happened that would change future installments of the Halo series. Can we expect Jul to be a big part of John’s adventure in the future? What are you predictions?

And furthermore, for those who don’t have a internet or Gold Live. How do people like that expect to keep up with 5 if the new installation plays off 5 (likely)?

Yes, Spartan Ops is canon.

The gameplay itself isn’t needed to understand the story, only the CGI cutscenes which are viewable on both YouTube & Halo Waypoint for free.
