When social playlists was announced, i was expecting, like thousands of people, that social slayer would be coming but instead we get social snipers?
What is this, can 343 release anything right?!? I was really expecting a social slayer so we can practice the magnum that 343 forced upon us and learn the maps but instead give us snipers? it is snipers 97% of time, i play 12 games in a row in snipers…
Will social slayer ever be in a separate playlist?
It’d also be cool if it loosened up on skill restriction to allow for more diverse matches. We already don’t have guests (cool feature!) so it feels like everything is always hyper-competiive.
But yeah, whoever thought Snipers was a social experience is… very strange. It’s extra cool that there’s no veto option. Gotta love that.
I once played 13 straight games of Social, and 11 were snipers.

It is snipers 97% of time when searching in “Holiday Social” …i am playing 10+ games in a row before slayer even comes.
We need social slayer in separate playlist because 343 is too incompetent to add in a balanced map/gametype rotating system.
Well, some of those special playlists are only out for a certain time then they will change. My guess is that Snipers is always popular with the casual crowd so 343i put the Snipers in there weighted super heavy over the Holidays as a last ditch effort to attract casuals to stay in the game over Christmas as a lot of people were opening Halo 5 for the first time. Regardless, it seems like only really hardcore people are left in Halo 5, so anything Social seems like hardcore parties of people searching together hoping to play n00bs themselves when most of the n00bs are on PS4 in Battlefront or CoD:BO3 anyways.
Wouldn’t a social playlist be bad for normal gamemodes. Without a ranking system to pair you fairly with other people chances are that teams would become heavily one-sided, this was a common complaint when they made BTB social in the last update.
For modes like action sack it would fit perfectly but for normal modes its probably better for them to remain ranked and remain fairish.
