Is Skype better for calling out than party chat?

I know some people use skype to talk while playing and i was wondering if there was no delay when speaking. If you can hear someone the second they speak it would really help in competitive arena. Right now if i say something in party chat i notice there is a half second delay and it is really annoying. Also does having a good headset make the delay stop? i only use the standard XB1 mic right now.

I’ve never noticed it. Even if there is half a second isn’t really significant enough to warrant using a whole other application.

i usually dont care about the little delay but when im getting sweaty in some slayer or arena a half second delay really does make a difference in the gameplay. if you could speak as if you were in the room with someone while playing and they could react the instant you said something your teamwork would improve by a lot.

Yea bro i noticed the optic guys using it during their scrim and if it makes it so that your words don’t have a delay it would be a great for competitive play.

Not sure if it’d be better in terms of less delays. I do know gamers use various ways to communicate in games. I use to use a separate chatting system when playing games that were mmos on pc, not sure if it was because it was better than what the game itself had though. I’d imagine even skype “could” have chat delays if lag got involved.

My SC uses discord. It’s just a matter of preference.
