I know after season 8 was the top four players, the division ratings favoured the winning team instead. Quick question. Is season 11 the same? Me and my brother seem to think otherwise because our increase/ decreases in rank dont seem to reflect our win/ loss rate.
Not so long ago me and my brother were playing, I was top 10% gold and he was top 10% silver. After some heavy losses the next day I became 40% gold, he went to 80% silver!!! We were in the same games. How does that make sense? especially with me being the higher ranked player?!
Any thoughts guys? 343 could do with answering this one.
P.S If you’re just going to moan about how you dont like arena, do it somewhere else. I dont care
It has always been win/loss. So if you both lose you both go down depending on who you play. Because you were higher than him he mostly likely was playing at your level.
Still confused about how the new calculation works. Can anyone shed some light?

Division is determine by win/loss, but what really matters is who you win or loss to. If you beat players you are supposed to beat or lose to players you are supposed to lose to your trueskill will go up or down by just a little. If you beat players that should beat you or lose to players you should be your trueskill will go up or down by a larger margin.
