Is SBMM completely broken? Just played a free for all match and there is no way in hell I was matched with similar skilled players. Top guy was clearly way higher level then me.

Happens most of the time in my experience, almost always 1 extremely more skilled player who just dominates. I think FFA has one of the weakest SBMM, even though there it should be the strongest IMO.

Probably a reflection of relatively lower server populations.

That would be my bet too. I uninstalled HI a couple weeks ago off my Xbox and it won’t get re-installed (if at all) until they allow us to select what Server to play on. Currently 4 out of 5 matches I have 250 ms ping time (that’s 4 fps for a FPS folks) because their AutoMagic Server Selector thinks that Amsterdam is closer to Alberta Canada than Seattle. Seattle gives me 25 ms Ping times.
I refuse to re-install until this gets fixed, so the game is dead to me.

Im seeing higher and higher skill levels getting paired with me to the point where im consistently placing last now. Also, im seeing my pings go to 100 plus. So i think its just the population levels dropping.
Sadly, i think the fixes for the game will take years, and i dont think the game will survive that.
