Is Riptide a SWAT map?

Just curious… because I play mostly SWAT and I have not come across Riptide in matchmaking yet… I’ve played roughly 15 matches in SWAT and about 5 in Slayer and I still haven’t experienced the new map.

Have 343 listed what playlists Riptide appears in?.. because I was just under the assumption it was going to be all playlists… (Minus Breakout and BTB of course)

Yes, it was the first gametype I got Ritptide in.

All I get is Riptide for SWAT and it makes me sad.

Riptide is a great map. But it might take a game or two to learn it.

I’ve gotten it a few times in Swat.

Spawn killing all day on that map.

Riptide is a great map, but there is a few empty spaces where nobody ever goes in the map. You could basically AFK there and never get shot. Slayer or swat it plays very differently than Fathom though

I have similar experience as OP, hardly ever I can play on new map. Unlucky?
Also shouldn’t there be 2 maps in that update?

Riptide and Overgrowth are GREAT maps for SWAT

they play so much better than the Rig

I’m glad you guys like Riptide. I freakin’ hate that map. Like, with a freakin’ passion. That map is just awful.

My thoughts exactly. These two maps make swat so darn inticing. (I don’t understand why people complain about riptide. I think it’s intense)

right after my post about liking it.

If you don’t mind me asking, what do you dislike about it?

I feel the same way about Warzone’s Battle of Noctus. I really dislike the map because it’s so sprawled out and lacks personality. But, the Warzone assault version is awesome.

Hahaha @AngryBuda… Yeah man, didn’t mean to poopoo on your thread. Like I said, I’m glad y’all like it.

It just doesn’t flow to me. Too many camping spots. Then, I find myself trying to climb walls and end up jumping and humping them. There’s one spot, I swear, I feel like I’m just running in a box with no exits, bouncing around like an idiot.

Ok, well that’s cool to know I’m just really unlucky. I’d really like to try out Riptide… so hopefully tonight I’ll get matched up on it.

Also… love Overgrowth for SWAT as others have said on the thread.
