K, this might sound dumb, but i was scrolling down thru facebook and somebody shared this trailer. Nostalgia got all over me. I stopped scrolling to watch the whole video and started to think a lil bit. The spartan who takes the bomb to the covenant cruiser is the old Noble 6.
In the game we take his place. Now, if you think about it , the noble team and all the UNSC find out that the covenant are in reach AFTER noble 6 (us) joins Noble team. That means they find out AFTER the old noble 6 dies.
It makes no sense noble 6 (old one) is delivering a bomb to destroy the covy ship in Reach before Noble 6 (new) joins up the team.
I might be a little late (8 years) but i never saw or heard anyone pointing this out.
This will give you a bit more info. Basically, the battle takes place on another planet. Remember that the events of Reach take place in 2552 whereas humanity encountered the Covenant first in 2525. So yes, that trailer is canon.
