Is rank 152 indicative Halo 5's Content support?

Do you think so, because reaching it legitimately is absolutely insane. I know there will be continued support for this game, but will it be as nearly equal to amount of XP required to reach max XP, considering you played day 1? Do you actually plan on grinding out to the end to reach Max Rank, even if things get stagnant and boring? I know I don’t, because it feels like a chore ranking up after you reach 145 and up. There is naturally playing to get you there, then at 148ish, it’s hell looking at your progress lol and grinding to get as many games in and use all XP.

It isn’t insanse.
I’m casually playing for fun, not even every day, and my current rank is 140.

I am not grinding, if I happen to reach it - nice. I’m confident I will, because I don’t plan to dump Halo 5 anytime soon.

Looking at your profile and your Achilles armor - as you grinded the Achilles, you will also grind the rank 152.

152 has no significant meaning, it’s probably how the xp system was input I’m thinking it’s the level that came with about a billion xp…

I thought it was a joke for the people who didn’t like how faster it was to reach max rank in Halo 4 compared to Reach.

Yes and soon the dreadful pain will start kickin in slowly once you hit 145. Casual play can get you high up, but to me there comes a point at which you say, “that just isn’t going to happen.” Especially if your Company has completed nearly all commendations in general, and you reach a high rank but you know you got other things more important things to do. I probably could hit it before Halo 6 comes out, but I recently rank up and get a daunting look at nearly 6 million xp I think to rank up again.

That’s the thing, what do I have to gain from throwing so much time away at 152? I sense of honor? Just doesn’t cut it for me. Just like when I reached Inheritor the right way, I felt badass and successful, but in the end it’s not going matter anyways. No one will remember and the next game will be out eventually. I wish the developers really rewarded you with something that has more wow factor than an Emblem. I didn’t stop playing Reach after I got Inheritor, because the game was still going strong, fun as hell and diverse. It also had challenges that Halo 5 doesn’t, but should. So I’m just questioning if Halo 5 can keep the drive going in me till max rank, because there are still missing key playlists/gametypes and more Dev made maps.

After H4, I guess they decided they needed to really increase it so you have a sense of accomplishment when you get it.
But they went to the other side of extreme LOL

I got inheritor 3 times over on Reach. So yes I plan on maxing out. Goal is before Halo Wars 2.

No bothered about reaching max rank.

I played a lot of Reach and never reached max rank there either.

Grinding for something like that doesn’t seem worth it to me. There’s no achievement or armor, (just an emblem I think).

I would be bothered if it was a boring mmo where ranking up is a chore. But it’s not - it’s halo - a really really fun game as it is. The reqs, the unlocks, the ranks, for me these are just side-benefits of playing the game a lot because I enjoy it.
I’ll still be playing sweaty, competitive arena matches for years after I’ve reached max rank - I play to play the game, not to rank up.

The only ranks that actually MATTER to me, being an indicator of actual skill, are the arena ranks that reset.

I’m not even level 90, i doubt i will ever make it there, but i am not afraid of the grind and it is there for people who have a sense of challenge and accomplishment. it is a small group of people

I think they should add up top maybe 200 and have it require the same amount of time as halo reach. Then give like a sweet exclusive helmet or something

Wait what are we complaining about this time? I’m gonna keep playing h5 until h6. If I make it to 152 cool, but thats not a “goal” and it won’t stop me from playing if I ever hit it.

I’ve only been max level in one game: cod 4, and then I made a 2nd account and got prestige 8. Totally underrated game. Most cod fans seem to be too young or have forgotten.

I don’t know if everyone knows this but rank 150 is less than 50% of the way to rank 152 in terms of XP needed.

Rank 150: 24,000,000 XP Needed
Rank 152: 50,000,000 XP Needed

So as the person above said he’s rank 140… He’s not even close to the end.

for the 152 level must play a lot, I think it’s far too 50,000,000 EXP

50 -Yoinking!- million!? … And I thought it would just increase by a million or 2. At least that’s how other levels in the 140s have been. Well, “gg Halo 5.” I’m not going to do that. Good luck, very much good luck to all you grinders/completionists that aren’t backing down from getting 152.

You guys make it sound easy lol. Inheritor was much easier.

Everyone has an opinion, goals, and thoughts as to what they feel is worth achieving in Halo. That’s why there are different “achievements” available in the game.

Personally—my opinion—only 2 things in Halo 5 can be achieved mostly by individuals and reflect individual achievement, that is SR of 152 and high CSR in FFA. Other than those, you need to depend highly on others (CSR in Slayer, Team, Breakout, SWAT; grinding in WZ, WZFF for Achilles, etc.). I find that as a solo/random player, in general, the CSR ranks and matchmaking is wonky and not to transparent as to how it works, thus I get frustrated in how they are set each month after qualifying matches are done.

The attainment of Achilles is more of a “grind” than reaching SR 152 to me.

I am interested in reaching SR 152 as a personal goal in Halo 5—don’t care about bragging rights, emblems, goody bags, big trophy or whatever. Just the satisfaction of setting a goal and attaining it with the knowledge that a small percentage of players will ever attain it.
I’m currently at SR 146 with about 1M XP left to SR 147 and CERTAINLY am aware of how far I have yet to go—about 39M XP from SR 147

I am 143 I believe I just play and forgot about it, mostly I was in it for the REQ points to get my juicy armor variants.

o.O

How? I have 27 days of Reach multiplayer played, and I only got to Eclipse…

This is the only Halo game I actually plan to get max rank in. Well it was Halo 3 first, but the ranking system never let that happen.
Regardless I don’t plan to get max rank because I’ll grind. I’m genuinely having fun with the game.

It better be a damn good emblem xD
