No it’s really not that good. It would be OP if everyone around you didn’t know your using it, but they do. In fact I think it’s a waste of an armor ability.
I always feel as if people using PV get a pretty big advantage when it comes to… almost everything. They hide around corners such that they can get the first shot off in a 1v1, or even Boltshot… it kind of FOSTERS camping rather than stopping it sometimes.
No it’s not. You’re not invincible when in Promethean vision. And there’s ways to trick it. Besides, they may be using promethean vision, but who cares? You get them in the open, they’re try hard trying to kill you, you pwn them. Easy.

Yeah you know that they’re using it, but that doesn’t stop them from knowing your exact location. Who has the bigger advantage? Rhetorical question don’t answer.
My default loadout consisted of PV, the AR, Magnum, Frags, Mobility, and Dexterity. It was the right loadout for me but after a month, I just couldn’t get anything done with the loadout.
I can understand why many people don’t like Promethean Vision - I use it quite a bit to look around for enemies and to prepare for what combat situation I’m going to head into. For example, if 4 Spartans are right behind a corner and I’m alone, I find that out using PV and then run away because they have the advantage.
I also use Promethean Vision to see those pests hiding with that annoying Boltshot.
In my opinion, Promethean Vision is fine as is. It’s a fairly good armor ability and you can’t use it too long. Recharge takes quite a while. The “new armor lock” is Active Camo and Hologram IMO.

Please enlighten me on how you trick someone who can see you through a wall.
I wouldnt say it breaks the game. It helps on 4v4 matchs for the players camping with the Boltshot which im sure is why more players are using it. It does keep the game pace fast. I find that a team with PV and the Regeneration Field are really soild as long as the players know when to use them. PV however isnt that great id say for BTB but that has to do with the map everyone is on. I think Active camo is the strongest one out of them all.

ACtive Camo would be ridiculous if it didn’t flare up for no apparent reason. I know, I used it a lot until I began noticing that it would flare up even when your shields weren’t recharging.
I got sniped yesterday and it was a rather interesting use of promethean vision; no scope sniper rifle in haven from across the map, he wouldn’t have spotted me without promethean vision due to obstacles.
It is the new camo for camping with the bolt shot, it works perfectly for using while crouched, then use the ability as the enemy approaches a corner and rush them with a charged shot. It shows the exact location of the enemy for letting go of the charge, rather than a camo person having some uncertainty.
I typically use camo and actively engage opponents, which often results in me getting spotted by promethean vision users, its annoying, but I’m not that bothered about it. The wetwork stealth perk doesn’t effectively counteract promethean vision due to blue dots appearing on radar when you use camo.
