I know that Halsey said that his armour was " burned to glass" but what intrigues me is that, his helmet is still visible after the glassing, in the year 2589.
So my question is: is it still there or did Bungie only show his helmet for emotional impact?
Is there any chance it could be found by “the next Master Chief”?
Actually its 2589 http://www.halopedia.org/Lone_Wolf, but as far as it being emotional or actually being there we can only assume that it stayed there.
As far as being founded by the “next MC” I can only say that they probably will not be abducting kids anymore since they have new tech to use on adults.
Some kid probably did pick it up though. I mean, come on. Its a giant metal helmet with a shattered visor, I’d take that home and put it on my mantlepeice post haste.
Especially if you know, its a new planet.
“Burned to glass” was more of a poetical thing. I don’t see how Halsey is supposed to know what happened to Six’s armor. She just assumed his remains have disappeared.
As for the helmet, it does appear in the last cutscene, so yeah it still exists. But I don’t know if we’ll ever see it again, as it depended on what customized armor you wore in Reach. And I doubt 343 want to lose too much time on reintroducing Six as the Mark V(b)-wearing Spartan. (though they did established him as a “he”).

The most likely answer. No way ONI is going to let a piece of Mjolnir armour just lay there, ready for anyone to take and research it. Even though it’s quite destroyed, it could probably still be very usefull for insurectionists, if not only for improved HUD, motion tracker or shielding technology. It’s probable that it’s either stored away in a ONI facility or is at display in a museum.

First, ONI, and the UNSC at large, have discarded the regulation concerning Spartan’s deaths (i.e. ‘Spartan’s never die’). They now openly acknowledge that Spartans do indeed die to properly honor the sacrifice and commitment of the Spartans. I don’t agree with it (I still think the Spartans should never have gone public in the first place, let alone got their own branch), but there it is.
As for the tech in the helmet, by that point I doubt that it’s any use. If a black market group/manufacturer/conglomeration/etc. on Venezia can copy VISR technology to the point where they produce their own workable version of it (Dianthus), if a previously unseen and unknown armor variant that has no known manufacturer and an in-built software matrix that can’t be accessed by ONI can be found on an abandoned ship (Shinobi), if the privatization and corporatization of MJOLNIR leads to variants produced outside the UNSC (Void Dancer, for starters, and made by companies that may not share the loyalties to Earth), all of which are specific iterations/components of the GEN2 MJOLNIR in 2558, then a heavily damaged helmet from a previous, technologically inferior generation that has been sitting in the glasslands of Reach for nearly 40 years, exposed to all kinds of elements and weathering isn’t going to give them, at best, much information that they don’t already have (and likely already have more advanced versions of.) If the Covenant couldn’t be bothered to find a use for it, then Insurrectionists won’t.
As you say, it’s most likely in a museum somewhere. By that point, where we see it, it is quite literally nothing more than a historically significant paper weight.

Maybe it ended up in the Museum of Humanity from Halo 3s Believe trailers. Just like, the helmet, stuck on the butt of an MA37 set in concrete under a banner with Reach on it, and above it, one word; REMEMBER

yup me aswell. Probably lifting and wearing it would be painful cause those armours are pretty damn heavy.
