Is mythic rumble Infinite gameplay?

I think i have said this before in the long movement mechanics thread but I feel it should be its own topic. Basically, can the mythic playlist be what infinite gameplay will be like. For those of you who dont know, the mythic playlist is in halo 5. It is a game mode with only thrusters and stabilizer which can be turned off. It also has special made maps for it. Here is a video going into the details of what im getting at.

Now, how many of you would be satisfied if base gameplay was like this. I think its fine but would personally like a bit faster base movement speed. what are your thoughts.

Possibly, but I have doubts. Right before Halo 4, 343 created the title update settings for Reach and that had very little influence on H4. I personally like almost everything about Mythic except for the H2BR. I think its too good of a starting weapon.

It seems like it may be a testing ground to more classic gameplay, similar to how Legendary Slayer may have been for equal starts in Halo 4.

Personally I think thruster and smart scope/stabilize needs to be gone too. I don’t find either particularly fun to deal with and thruster can often devolve fights pretty fast despite the cooldown.

I want thruster to stay and stabilize can stay as an option as it is now. Taking those away will be way too similar to halo 3 and 2. I would just go play those games if I wanted to. The thruster gives that bit extra to the gameplay without leaving the classic gameplay feel.

A thruster is used once in a firefight. If somehow someone managed to thrust twice in the same firefight then both players must be missing like 90% of their shots. Its is a great quick change of direction in addition to strafe or crouching. It also can serve as a quick way to get into cover which can make larger open areas easier to cross unlike halo 3

Thrust, smart scope and stabilize change way too much of the Halo gameplay to feel like classic Halo at all to me personally.

I think there are other ways to differentiate the games than changing the core gameplay of the original trilogy/NBNS Reach. For example, the fact that Infinite will release 13 years later and have all the quality of life/forge/graphical improvements since then. They also have the technology to do more with the sandbox and map elements of the game. Not to mention all of the new weapons that have been added since then would easily differentiate it from Halo 3 on it’s own.

I’ll be happy as long as Spartan Charge and Ground Pound are absent. The rest of the abilities including Sprint and Clamber do not bother me in the least.

i hope the mythic movement system is the base for halo infinite. maybe with a fes extra percents forward movement speed that kick in after a few seconds of walking forward, a slight bounciness to the spartan and the return of a momentum based melee system.

This has been hypothesized previously, but it’s just speculation.

Personally, I would be VERY surprised if sprint was no longer a default ability in Halo: Infinite, but I may be wrong.

All I know is that as soon as two seconds of Infinite footage is actually shown…gaming forums are going to melt regardless of what movement abilities are present lol.

Hopefully considering the last 2 times I installed H5G was for the throwback playlists only for them to be out of rotation by the time it was ready to play and uninstalled it immediately my preference is clear. The halo3 play list was even a better area than arena for me.
