Is my grenade lawNchair gone now?

Since we may have a grenade pistol… could this mean the end of the Grenade launcher from reach?

Probably, and way to spell…

> Lawchair

I hope to Almighty Jesus that was intentional.

OT: Maybe so. I really like the GL from Reach, so I hope this is a worthy counterpart.

I fixed it, oops

you fixed it?

To Lawnchair!

You my good sir, are a genius.

Is that when you put an active grenade under the chair, and then you sit in it. It goes off, and you go flaying?

that or a lawn chair made of grenades, or a lawn chair that shoots grenades. (that wheel chair from the movie aliens comes to mind)

Interesting fix… I must say.
I hope it’s back. I loved it. Shooting a grenade into the sky while a Banshee is approaching and letting the EMP disable the Banshee, and then Hi-Jacking it was priceless.

Removing the Grenade Launcher would be one of the worst solutions 343i could end up with. To my knowledge majority of the community loves the weapon. Of course it could be replaced by another weapon with similar function, but I see no problems with how the Grenade Launcher currently looks.

I think that’s an execution chair. When somebody isn’t nice, he must sit on the Grenade LawNchair and then he gets blown up. It’s the chair made of grenades which brings law and order into the people’s minds.

The grenade lawnchair just made my day, don’t know if it was intentional but thanks anyways.

OT: The gristol looks awesome, if not a little bit overpowered. Maybe a long reload would fix this.

My friend said that this will probably be a dual-wieldable weapon- I doubt it and my friend is an idiot all the time (lol) but it would definitely be cool. Maybe if they make it really weak it could work.

Agreed

-the weapon served as a very useful anti vehicle weapon which we never really had before (besides emp PP).

-Fun to shoot

What’s the point of the weapon if it is really weak?

Even though the Grenade Launcher was pretty cool (to be honest it’s probably my favourite weapon in the game) Halo 4 is a new game. Things will be taken out and added. The Battle Rifle was taken out for ODST. It was replaced with the DMR in Reach. The Assault Rifle was taken out of Halo 2 and re-introduced in Halo 3. The SMGs were taken out of Reach. These sort of things happen. The Grenade Launcher’s probably been replaced with this new one.

Besides, Reach’s Grenade Launcher is used by the UNSC Army, if there’s any form of UNSC in Halo 4 it’ll be the Marines we’re fighting along side with.

That’s an, umm… Interesting grammar choice…

OT: I wouldn’t get too worried. From the looks of it the grenade launcher pistol thingy will function the same way the grenade launcher from Reach did. Only difference is that it can stick to things.

But why would a game that has a perfect niche get completely removed. I mean, sure, the BR got removed. But it was replaced by a DMR. We don’t necessarily need the exact same weapon back, but a weapon very similar in function. All the cases with Assult Rifles and SMGs have had similar weapons to replace them (SMG replaced AR in Halo 2, and vice versa in Reach). Grenade Launcher is a weapon with very unique purpose for gameplay, it can’t be removed unless it gets replaced with a weapon with similar function.

If it was completely removed, it would be a huge loss for the franchise. It would technically be removing the best new gameplay element from Reach. Really, completely removing the whole weapon type is one of the most irrational things they could realistically do with Halo 4.

Not REALLY WEAK but weak in comparison to what we expect. Maybe something like the Brute Shot as seen in Halo 3?

I love the grenade launcher, but at least looking at the trailer it seems to me that this “gristol” will be basically the same weapon.

and just a thought, maybe this weapon a pistol with attachable grenades and can function as both? kinda looks that way to me in the trailor, but maybe that’s just me

I think they should make the grenade launcher a little more powerful

How do we even know that the Grenade Pistol will even be in Halo 4? Frank O’Connor said that the game has changed since we got that teaser trailer. For all we know, the Grenade Pistol could have been removed from the game. Wich I hope it had, the concept of a pistol shootin grenades is ridiculous.
