keep on getting an error code,
“ATTENTiON: Unable to validate your DLC with xbox live. Please ensure any required DLC is installed.”
when i open up my game box there is no DLC code in there, All i got was a disc, 14 day XBL trial and a controller advertisement.
am i missing something here? is it because im on the new xbox experience?

You have to wait till the 27th, but you can play offline campaign.
It might be 343’s way of preventing you from playing the game early. The game likely requires a patch to be played.

You need to wait till the game unlocks in your region on the 27th. Only certain press copies are allowed to play for marketing prior to that.
you should be able to play campaign offline before that though
Play campaign offline.
It’s what I am doing.
You’ll just have to be patient and play the campaign offline like me.
Campaign is what you should always play first anyway so just do that.

Well you can’t cause the game technically isn’t released yet. 27th October. At least you can play campaign offline while the other 99% people in the world can’t play at all. Don’t get why you’re complaining.

It was intended for online play after it is released, which is on the 27th.
The game has not been officially released yet. You aren’t even supposed to have it.
They’ll unlock the servers on launch day, when you’re actually supposed to play it.
It’s like me preordering tickets for Star Wars, but being upset that they don’t let me watch it until release day. It doesn’t make sense.
Just wait until it’s launched. Only press copies can be online right now.
But you have to understand that the game isn’t even out yet. It’s release date is on the 27th. Therefore, 343 won’t allow you to do much with the game until then. It wouldn’t be fair if people got to play and enjoy online before others, like the people who have the downloadable copy of the game where it doesn’t unlock until the 27th. I don’t think they can even play the campaign. It’s only 3 more days, you can wait that long.

Release date of the game has always been the 27th, nowhere has it ever stated that if you get the game earlier than thast it will be available. Sorry OP, just need to wait until the 27th like the rest of us 
Well its a shame that you thought you could outsmart 343i. Don’t try to cheat the system and then complain about it lol. You’ve got to wait and its only on you to blame ;).
its going to be funny when everyone gets on the game and the servers have a meltdown. only 40 people are allowed on the servers right now, they must be really confident to have such a small amount of players test their servers.
I love how so many people can’t understand that the game isn’t out yet so you have to wait, I hate having it pre-installed and not being able to launch it but I get to wait like everyone else! The fact you can even play campaign is great you should go enjoy it while you can before everyone else is on it that way when they let you on the servers you won’t have any delay in playing multilayer since you will have already played campaign.

Uh, on the Xbox Store. And Amazon’s store. And on its official page here on Waypoint. And every other official source on the net.
This is common knowledge - you should not be surprised. There’s nothing to be surprised about. Except for perhaps you getting the game early.

why would i need to go to the game store or amazon when i have a physical copy in hand?
