Didn’t get to play the flight but watched a bit. The Bazaar map looked huge for a 4v4 map, but the players seems to be flying across it, so the size seemed offset by that. I played a lot of Halo 5 and loved it, but kinda concerned about the base movement speed in Infinite. It looks really fast. Is it faster than 5? Seems like an Infinite player would traverse an H5 map really quickly. I was mentally comparing movement on Bazaar vs something like h5 Fathom or Truth. Is it really that fast or just new and my brain hasn’t caught up yet?

Bazaar was about the size of the pit overall. (slightly bigger) And the base movement speed is about the same as 4. It handles way better than it looks

BMS has been buffed sprint has been nerfed
You move quickly and it actually…finally…feels like halo again

Sprint is barely and I mean Barely faster then base speed. People have made good comparisons Heres one on twitter.
Base movement speed is about the same as the other games, maybe slightly faster but not much. Sprint is slower than all other other halo games with sprint, barely faster than walking. Strafing speed is a bit faster than the last few games, which feels really nice imo.
One reason it might have looked fast to you is the person you’re watching might have had a very high FOV. Raising FOV can give the illusion of faster movement speed, hence why lots of games. Will increase fov temporarily while sprinting (Minecraft is a good example). Halo 5 doesn’t have an fov slider so if you play a log of halo 5 then you’re stuck with the low default.
