I just wanted to know if the LOCUS helmet is a pre order exclusive or is the pre order bonus just a skin for that helmet.

I wish 343i would just put this topic to rest. Honestly this is getting annoying not knowing whether or not we will be able to purchase/unlcock it later with the rest of the pre-order skins (which have a high possibility of being released some time after launch)
When will 343i just be straight up with us and say something like this:
When we release all of the pre-order content to everybody, it will contain List of pre-order armor and emblems and also the dead-eye and locus helmet.

They need to settle both this and the Scanner/Strider/LE issue
This is what confuses me the most. according to this picture it says that it is a helmet and not a skin for the helmet. However, if you look at it you will see the words "helmet skin colors are customizable"in small print implying that it is an exclusive skin for the helmet not an exclusive helmet itself. Also if you look at the footage from PAX about all the helmets you’ll notice that locus does not have a skin and is just titled "locus’ this is also very confusing. I would really like to know if the helmet is exclusive or if it’s just a skin.
I think that it IS the helmet, but you’re basically only getting it early through your reservation. I believe they said somewhere that you can unlock all of the armor within the game itself by ranking up or whatever. I don’t know if the skins are exclusive to each store or not.

But if that image you linked is the same as this one, then it says “CUSTOMIZABLE* // LOCUS HELMET SKIN” at the top, and in the smaller box in the blue top bar thing it says “HELMET SKIN”. Which to me sounds like it’s the helmet skin that’s exclusive, not the helmet it’s self.
But as Ive said in another thread hmv say you get the locus helmet here is a link to the site HMV halo 4 pre order
surely if I dont get that helmet it would be classed as false advertising
