Is 'living dead' slowing down other play lists?

I say this because every time I go on Reach, people are playing zombies a lot more than everything else.

I think if this play list was took down, the population of other play lists will rise.

Anyone agree?

Complete watse of time, but, okay. Living Dead WILL NOT be taken out due to it’s popularity.

Why would 343 take out what people are enjoying so they are forced to play something else?

i don’t want the 8 year olds going from living dead to the competitive playlists i play. not a good idea

Lolno.

The reason Living Dead is the most popular playlist is because it’s the most exploitable playlist. Its gameplay was literally broken. Removing the playlist will make the exploiters either flock to other exploitable playlists, or leave Reach; it will also leave Infection fans with nowhere to go.

Fixing Living Dead will also drive the exploiters to other parts of Matchmaking, but without screwing over Infection fans. Fixing the playlist is the option with the most benefit* and the least collateral damage.

  • When I say “benefit”, I’m speaking solely in terms of the size of the population that would shift to other playlists – not the quality of the population.

Firefight Limited comes to mind …

You apparently didn’t see the population of FFL, did you? No one was playing FFL so it was taken out. Just because you liked and played it, doesn’t make it popular.

Except there are plenty of other playlists with a low population, that are still around. No one plays co-op Campaign. By your logic, let’s scrap it. There are five playlists right now that aren’t even breaking the triple digits. Hey, no one is playing them, obviously, lets remove them, right?

I was making the point to Wickenheiser that, yes, there are playlists out there people enjoyed playing, and yes, 343i removed them with the hope that people would play others. “People don’t play it” is a poor excuse. Anyone who enjoyed Limited, you know, the only Firefight playlist that took any semblance of skill, is punished by playing derpy gametypes where you spam rockets and fuel rods all day.

It amazes me that such a play list can be popular, it’s literally nothing more than a betrayal-fest staffed by 10-year olds.

What you call a poor excuse was the system put in place by Bungie. So, why can’t 343i use it. Besides, I watched the pop in FFL go from like 500, to less than 100 in 1 hours time. Yeah, people are really playing it aren’t they?

You don’t think 343i is looking into taking out those playlists that are suffering in pop? You have to be some kind of fool if you think these playlists should stay around even though the majority of players aren’t playing them. I’m sure 343i did everything they could to NOT remove your fav playlist. As a matter of fact, I seem to recall the bullitin that contained that info. BS Angel said that they DID NOT want to remove FFL, but since practically no one played it, it was removed. Don’t cry about, find something else to play, and move on

There are WAY too many playlists in my opinion and it makes it look like there is no activity on the game. There is 20+ playlists, that’s WAY too much.

Populations rise and fall during the day. Everyone knows this. Chances are, the FFL population went back up the next day when people started playing again.

But sure, let’s take your advice, and find something else to play and move on. Let’s make sure other playlist populations take a nosedive. Let’s settle for what’s given to us, and not speak up. Let’s all move on the moment we find something wrong with Reach we don’t like, and play something else.

If everyone did that, no one would be playing Reach.
