Im pre-ordering limited edition in a couple days. I was wondering if this is the only special edition of the game. I don’t want to have limited pre-ordered and then find out theres a legendary edition. Do you think 343 will announce legendary edition or is this it?
343i already confirmed there will be only 2 version. Default and Limited.

Right about now you may be wondering, “If all those things come with the Limited Edition, what are they going to put in the Legendary Edition?” Here is the answer to that question: There will be two options available at retail for Halo 4 - the regular version of the game and the aforementioned Limited Edition. We decided to focus our efforts on a single special edition instead of numerous ones so you wouldn’t have to pick and choose between what ancillary items you want. Now your primary choice is whether or not you just want the game, or the game along with all the goodies. And we’re hoping we made that decision an easy one for you…
343 already said in the bulletin that there is no legendary edition. Can people pls stop complaining about such a pointless edition like a legendary? Who needs a statue or some crap?
This limited is better, sad that there is no making of dvd but im happy about that edition.
If there was a Legendary Edition the only thing that could possibly be added would be a statue paperweight and I dont think they are a good pre-order incentive.
i prefer having 2 editions, a third one just seems unneccesary

Um, I don’t know about you, but I don’t see anyone complaining in this thread except you. If you’re going to complain about people complaining, do it in a thread where people actually are complaining.
I think eliminating the Legendary edition, while sad, is very smart by Microsoft and 343i. This will allow them to maximize profit by not having to eat cost on developing a 3rd edition SKU and keeping the options limited to 2.
So to the OT it’s not replacing it, it’s just not being made. I think this was going to happened based on the fact that you can still find Halo 3 and Reach Legendary editions in certain stores, brand new.
There’s only the regular edition (just the game) and the limited edition (the game and all the other cool stuff). So two versions in total to prevent confusion and such.
It would seem a little odd if each halo from now on would launch in 3 editions, wouldn’t it?
