Hi halo gamers just wondering is halo 4 limited edition worth having because I’ve pre ordered and paid a deposit on it but I’m wondering if it would be worth having please reply and let me know what you think
It all depends on how much you like collecting halo 4 memorabilia really, and if you really want the extra armor/armor skin/weapon skin and the avatar stuff
$60 retail game
$25 season pass included
$15 physical items, steel case, collectors box, FUD 90 minute uncut edition, exclusive in game skins and avatar items.
It’s for you to decide really.
You save/spend roughly $20 overall when you take into consideration that:
-The maps included in LE are being sold for the same price and you can buy them at any time.
-The DVD of Forward until dawn and its extras can be viewed on Youtube for free.
and
-Nearly all of the pre-order bonuses are digital (you get little physical like a poster or statue).
-The majority of all of the armour bonuses you can get on LE you can get later on via unlocking them, you just get them early.
-You are also putting your faith in a company which has never made a full game before.
I have pre-ordered the normal edition. My opinion is choose the best arguement for and against LE then you make the final decision.
It is. You get the DLC paid for when you purchase it, so you won’t have to worry about that later down the road when it’s released.
To me its worth it for just that.
You get extra stuff, a discount on all the content, and all the map packs for free. Not to mention a 90 minute movie.
It’s worth it.

Bonus in-fiction bonus content expanding the characters and stories of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn and their connections to Halo 4
Special Featurette: Bringing Gaming into Reality
Making of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn
Bonus digital content through Xbox LIVE:
Unique in-game Spartan IV armor skin
Unique in-game weapon skin for the Assault Rifle
An exclusive in-game emblem
Xbox LIVE Avatar prop
Xbox LIVE Avatar Spartan IV armor set
The Limited Edition also contains the UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet which includes a Spartan armor customization schematic, an introduction to the massive ship UNSC Infinity, and insight into what it means to be one of humanity’s finest warriors: The Spartan IVs.
War Games Map Packs: The Limited Edition includes access to nine maps - three future competitive multiplayer map packs, each including three locations, available for download post-launch on Xbox LIVE.
Specializations: Receive early access to six Specializations, available at launch on Xbox LIVE, and use them, one at a time, to achieve higher ranks in your Spartan career. In addition to gaining access to new ranks, Specializations unlock new customization options.
The Special Edition of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, a 90-minute extended version of the live-action digital series which will take fans back to the terrifying beginning of the Human/Covenant war, when the Master Chief inspired a young cadet who would eventually become a leader aboard the UNSC’s greatest vessel ever: the UNSC Infinity.
So the reason I quoted you, red head, the maps are not being sold at the same price, you can get a pass for $25 dollars or buy them all separately for $30. The FuD is an extended cut, which won’t be on youtube, just the standard, also you don’t get the making of, or the behind the scenes of making the game. let’s just classify that as around $20 for all of it. That on top of all the in game digital bonuses, and avatar stuff plus the Infinity briefing packet let’s just total all that out to say $50.
Now add the $60 price tag of the game to that $50 and you have $110, the LE is only $100, and again I’m giving very loose and might I add low price ranges here. So it’s the best value for your money.
So let’s recap:
Map pack - $25
movies/featurettes - $20
Memorabilia/Swag - $5
Game - $60
Seems legit.
My stuff is in RED

The Limited Edition also contains the UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet which includes a Spartan armor customization schematic, an introduction to the massive ship UNSC Infinity, and insight into what it means to be one of humanity’s finest warriors: The Spartan IVs.
This is where you spend an extra $15 out of $20 I mentioned

NOTE: I did not include the Avatar stuff as I deem it useless gimmicks but that is just me. At the end of the day it is your choice.
NOTE2: The extended cut and extras will be uploaded to YouTube just like Halo Legends was, I guarantee it.

Note 1: It’s included therefore it has a price, whether you see it as useless or not, it’s still in there, and there are people who want it.
Note 2: I don’t doubt that, but most people prefer a hard copy, or at the very least their own digital copy they don’t have to wait to be uploaded to Youtube, or even have to watch it spread out between 5-10 different videos. It’s like watching a bootleg movie, if you want the best, you pay for it, not a bad copy.
And even with the Map pass, you still pay $25 if you get the pass, or $30 if you buy all separately.
As I stated, the prices I gave were extremely marked down, and even so makes the LE a value as opposed to just buying the standard edition game. I mean why would you even be looking into the LE if there wasn’t something there you wanted? It’s a value for Halo fans.
Well, since my Spartan IV can look like this:
I think it’s worth it.

For the gimmicks as I said it is your choice but you have to ask yourself would you buy that stuff if you had the choice? Seeing as it adds roughly $15 extra onto the cost.
As for the Forward unto Dawn bonuses as I see it you will only watch most of the special features once anyway.
> WHY HAS NO ONE MADE A THREAD ON THIS?
It’s super secret stuff. Anyway, after seeing the Halo 4 DLC goodies customers receive when they purchase the Halo 4 Xbox 360 console. I’m glad I’m just sticking to the Limited Edition version of the game.

By “you” you’re speaking in general right? Because myself, I watch that stuff like crazy. As for what you call “gimmicks” yes I would purchase them, same reason I bought the LE, and the Console. $500 without tax included, because it’s stuff I want. That’s what having a job affords me, but that is neither here nor there. Like you said it’s choice, but if you look at from the point of view on someone who wants the things Halo 4 has to offer, the LE is a great value, and isn’t that what the title of this thread is? Is the Limited Edition worth it? If you want the extra things it comes with, then yes, it is truly worth it.

Yeh if you want the avatar stuff, 2 weapon/armour skins and the DVD you save about $30-$35 dollars roughly when compared if you would buy them separately.
> $60 retail game

dlc is worth 30 separated so thats 60+30+10(for memorabilia)=100 but still i think its worth it
Its up to you man…
If you’re a bare-bones guy/girl, LE is not for you.
Between the essential stuff, like the cost of the game, and the map packs… you could get away with spending less on just the regular edition, and the map pack pass separately than you would the LE. ($15 less)
If you’re a dedicated fan though who loves ancillary stuffs, LE is packed full of it, and is not at all that much of an up-charge over what you’re spending already on the game and maps given the amount of content you’re receiving for the extra $15 (compared to how much other Halo stuffs you could add to your collection for $15)
Your choice, I’m going with LE though, I have to, if I didn’t it would be the only NON-LE Halo I don’t own.
