Hey everyone
To all those who regularly buy gold packs instead of silver, do you often get ultra rare and above items or does it often give you ones you could have got from a silver pack? I ask because, apart from emblems, I only have 46 items left to unlock before I have all rare (and below) items. Problem is, I still have ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY emblems up to and including rare to unlock -_- that’s 60 silver packs, that’s 300,000 req points. I’m gonna have to do another 300 Warzone assault games just to get those -Yoink- emblems. I don’t know about you lot but I really don’t want to have to unlock all those emblems before moving to gold, is it worth the risk? I would hate to end up just getting rare emblems for weeks out of gold packs, but I’m sick of only having rare and below items, I really want to start getting high value items as I have played over 700 games.
Anyone think it is worth it? Or am I safer just grinding away for the next 2 months till I finish silvers?

most emblems are unlocked from commendations so you probably won’t need to worry about them
Finish your silvers before you move to golds. A lot of emblems are unlocked via commendations and ranking up.

I did nothing but gold packs. There was a lot of noise (emblems, armors, helmets) that were available in silver packages. It is more economical points wise to finish silver, but a complete collection was not important to me. I do not have allot of common weapons, emblems, armors, helmets, and vehicles, I sometimes get these certs in daily win packs as a result.

Yeah, like 100 or more are just commendations, etc. Silvers is definitely the best way to go even though it may be tempting to try for some legendary items in Gold.
Starting with golds are such a waste of REQ points.
That seems pretty conclusive then haha! Thanks everyone, will keep on at the silvers, who knows I might get all my 46 non emblem items in my next 23 silvers! Fingers crossed
I would only move onto golds before finishing silvers if i desperately wanted something special earlier than i normally would get it (eg phaeton)
I say desperate because there is no guarantee you will unlock it quicker , in fact it may take longer due to the average cost of each permanent req being increased (say in silver each permanent req is worth 2500, and in gold they are 5000 each , excluding the extra stuff in the pack)
This means that the rare reqs would effectively be more expensive and your total amount of req points needed to collect everything would be far higher
This may not be a bad thing if you are going to put in the time to collect everything anyway , but it is definitely more efficient to finish silvers before moving onto golds

I would wait, decided to buy a gold pack instead of two silvers and I got an uncommon permanent, a rare permanent and all uncommon/rare cards. Because of that I’m also saving my arena req packs.

many say that silver is the way to go…but i still do golds instead…
i make it a point to open 1 gold and 1 silver every time i play (my halo 5 sessions last till i get 15k in that sitting)
Gold is more fun to open imo, agreed that its less efficient but the chace of a greater variety of stuff via gold (due to untra rares and legendaries) makes it more fun for me
Just go on halo waypoint It says how much you have left, ie common uncommon rare etc. I unlocked all bronze- when u do that you get 500 rp refunded, all silver, you get 3000 refunded- two 1500 rp when that happens move on to gold u occasionally get legendary but get a lot of ultra rare. I opened all my bronze untill I got points, which was relatively fast. Then I opened silvers until I got points, too me a bit longer but it was ok, I think I was csr level 65 when I finished silvers. I am now about csr 123 and I have about 80% of all reqs done.
Only move to golds when u finish silvers
