So by now most of us can guess that 95% of Armor is going to be locked behind a Paywall be it pay for Battlepass access or in game store.
Does it suck yes, but honestly do we get our money’s worth for Armor customization.
What I mean is why is it that makes us want to have so many interchangable parts on our Spartan. And honestly we have to explore the game that did it best. Halo Reach.
Reach did something not any other Halo game did. It immersed your personalized Spartan into the game. They had a story driven around Noble 6. The version you imagined. You saw cutscenes of that story playout with your Spartan.
But in Halo Infinite we get an Intro which is sometimes hilarious. And maybe an victory pose. And that’s bout it cis when your in the round your focused on well winning or challenge completion to notice someone who paid 7 bucks for the Soldier helmet.
Not to mention they are basically Drip feeding us content like playlist and customizations. We are unlocking stuff at 343’s pace and price.
Granted 10 bucks for a Battlepass is pretty fair. Seeing as we will only pay that possibly 4 times out of the year.
But the in-game store, realistically for a good amount of customizations we are likely to spend at least 60 bucks. And that’s just in the first month. Of you buy most of what it offers.
And based of of Halos Community managers response of it’s a business and these servers aren’t cheap, I don’t think we are going to get an option to earn credits to use in the store outside of yanking put the old debit/credit card.
Seems like this is the system they fully intended to implement. Thus it begs the question, how deep are your pockets when it comes to customizations of your armor. And does Halo Infinite provide ample enough reason to feel like you are getting a Proper ROI on said purchases.
Ony opinion unless they have a better way to imerse your Spartan and you I to the game. The Real money purchases outside of the Battlepass and free events are not worth it.
