l have been addicted to grinding gold packs! (i think i have opened about 40 now) (didn’t use ANY real money) but i know in terms of EFFICIENTLY unlocking everything i should drop down to silver… but as someone who does not mind the RNG and “grind” do you guys think it is even worth switching to silver packs?
I personally just open golds. I would rather have the chance at better warzone stuff than silvers.
I think its more expensive in the long run to open Gold packs before Silver ones.
And another point if like me you don’t really play warzone. if you get gold packs you can sell all the warzone stuff and be well on your way to another gold pack.
golds are a scam got only rares get a silver

Yes but depending on how much stuff you have unlocked buying golds doesn’t give you a great chance to get good things. It’s best to do bronze then silver packs IMO as then if you open a gold pack you will always be guaranteed a good drop.
Me personally, I was just getting gold packs at first, but once I started getting silver I was so much happier. Honestly, I’ve got so much cool stuff I’m kind of glad I didn’t by any gold packs for so long.
After a little while I will buy the occasional gold and if I don’t get anything good I always feel a bit ripped off.

i have gotten, two ultra rare’ chest pieces and a the foutus helm (the one with the yellow rarity)
I’ve been only opening bronze packs while occasionally I would open a silver or gold. But now that BTB is here, I’ll probably not be playing Warzone again. Or at least not until they add new maps, new bosses, and new modes.
I read its better to open the packs in order of bronze - silver - gold so that you get all the commons and uncommons out of the way by buying the cheaper packs. Then when you go to buy the silver and gold your more likely to actually get the rare and legendary cards because you’ve already unlocked them from the cheaper packs. Makes sense, just less rewarding.

more expensive=more playtime… isn’t that what we want? this game to last?
It depends. It’s more efficient to buy silvers first if you want to get all commons and rares out of the way, so you’re pretty much guaranteed to get legendaries from golds later on. If you want to unlock everything, that’s smarter.
if you want to get every item faster…yes start opening silve rpacks
Depends on how long term you will be playing Halo 5. If you are dedicated to playing for the next few months, just go Silver now and start banging out the Rare and lower items. But if you’re only going to play in the short term, just buy Gold.
