IS IT TIME FOR 343 TO REMOVE THE SPARTAN CHARGE?

its easy to counter a spartan charge! all you need to do is boost out of the way and if you get hit in the back by it thats your own fault

I hate the Spartan charge you need no skill to use it.

Imo spartan charge works as intended, especialy when you get hit in the back, you will die anyways so that doesn’t matter at all.
I think it’s a great addition and works just like the random melee dash (for me it seems to be random, if it’s not please tell me so I know how to trigger it  ). I can understand that it must be really annoying to get charged all the time, so I guess they could increase the run distance before a charge can be started, or maybe add a cooldown. But completely removing it is impossible this late after release.

I disagree on the fact that it should be removed, but it needs to be fixed. It needs to have a set distance to travel, and if it does not make SOLID CONTACT with anything by that point, it should not deal any damage. I’ve had many moments where I’ll boost back just before they charge (literal milliseconds), and they just keep going the extra distance, or stop where I was and still deal the damage. I’ve even had moments where I see them getting closer from behind, boost forward, and I’ll just end up getting killed and teabagged. The range on it needs to be fixed so that it can be evaded by escaping it’s maximum range before it reaches you. I’ve even juked out of the way, and still had the damage dealt.

No.

I think it good for rookies to kollect some kills to level up.

I just don’t see how a thrusting melee is OP lol. I have gotten owned attempting it to the point I only use it as a quick assassination or on a distracted target. Otherwise your shields would be taken out by the time you connect at best. Use your thrusters ppl can’t turn on a dime.

You can stop people from sprinting it takes 4 shots from a br, 5 from a pistol, 1 from a shotgun understand what I’m getting at?

I think the charge is a little OP and really freakin annoying. If I pepper you with a 3 br shots while ur sprinting at me it should cancel out your momentum.

I personally never use SC very often unless playing FFA (Because sweet Jesus can you get a lot of charge kills in FFA)

I get more usage of it as a way to move even faster as there is never really a tactically sound time to rush in all gung-ho unless in a one on one fight which rarely happens in Warzone

That’s your mistake, don’t boost forward or backward in the same direction they are. boost side to side. That’s a simple lack of knowledge, you should know better.

Ground pound is more fearsome, I love it but surprised no thread has been made asking for it to be removed. A thrusting Melee is the least of my concerns.

Because ground pounding takes skill or it just pops shields. And there’s a huge recovery animation.

It’d be cool if thrusting to the side when someone is Spartan charging you activated and actual counter, like and animation where you spin off and hit them with the butt of your gun in the back of the head.

Sometimes it confuse me.

Yeah that sword problem is annoying.

too… much… reading…

But seriously, Spartan charge being removed? Well, I can’t say! It’s a thing I like but it’s also kind of useless to attack other players with. And for the campaign, it has to be used at some points, so I don’t think 343 is going to remove it any time soon.

yes, I think if you are shooting someone who is charging it should stop the charge, especially in Swat it is SO ANNOYING. It is my fault for forgetting that this is a new feature, but if I am shooting them it should so something to stop it from happening.

also maybe they just should make a separate playlist for those who just can’t get enough of it. I feel like sometimes that is all people are doing for kills and again, its annoying. just go run around and do that to each other all game in a separate playlist.

I don’t even see people spartan charge enough to warrant this amount of hate. Most people I fight will drop out of a sprint to shoot at you. As for your points, the bullet knocking them out of a sprint build up makes more sense than stopping a Spartan sprinting at full speed dead in his tracks with a single bullet. Considering the armor and shielding Spartans have, they should be able to shrug off bullets. Maybe a more powerful weapon could stop them at full sprint, but smaller weapons like a pistol would be like trying to stop a speeding train.

I’ve never been Spartan charged in MP soooo… I don’t see how it’s such an inconvenience for some of you.

I agree with everyone else disagreeing tbh. I rarely get killed by them and whenever I try to do one the enemy usually has full shields anyway and doesn’t die. I don’t use the feature much because I use bumper jumper and I keep my finger on RT and not RB when sprinting and have not been bothered to change my game play style to suit this new feature that I really don’t care much for at all.

On a side note I saw someone mentioning the ground pound needing to be removed, no to that too. It has to be employed in very certain conditions otherwise you’re left completely vulnerable whilst hovering in the air.
