I bought the Champions DLC for Halo 4 and the Anniversary DLC for Reach moreover I own the all DLC disc for Halo 3 Multiplayer. I did some research and checked all content and I am tempted to buy the Halo Reach Defiant or the Halo 4 Castle Pack. But is it still worth I mean there are no DLC Playlists for these Maps am I still able to play them and get the achievments. And I am able to play the Unearthed Fire Team map in a seperate playlist. It would be great if you could aid
Im sorry for mistakes english is not my mother tongue
If you want to play them with others online, then no.
If you want to use them for local or custom matches with your friends, then yes.
I’ve been considering purchasing the remaining two for Halo 4 simply for taking screenshots, but … I don’t know, $20 just for some pictures is a lot.
Unless u can get a group of people that have the maps or a play list that requires the maps comes out permanently for both reach and for h4 the answer is no.
no it’s not unless all your friends have it and you just play with them.
Nope, since they have decided that you don’t get to play the maps in MM. it’s really no point unless you play alot of customs
Thanks guys, unfortunatly I do not have any friends with me. I am the only one still playing which is very sad but yeah I just love Halo
So I will not buy any more DLCs for Halo.I have all Halo games for 360 now ,even Spartan Ops. If any of you shares my passion you can add me and we play together to keep Halo alive and maybe become my Halo buddies

I would say yes if you love Halo, own the games and look forward to its future. After all, it is us who pay MS and 343 employees.
If money is a bit tight and you are TRULY looking to use the content in MM, then I would still say yes. They will eventually have a playlist or at least some rotational playlists that you can use your product.
Much like you, I do zero customs so the DLC was basically a waste from a ‘value’ standpoint. However, I would do it again in a heart beat b/c I realize I’m paying for future Halo games quality.

It’s not 343’s fault no one has the maps. Maybe if everyone went around telling people to buy them they would come up more often, instead of the opposite.

Yes, it is. Just because a company makes DLC does not mean that they deserve to have people buy it. If you produce a poor product, or advertise it poorly, it won’t sell, and people aren’t going to buy your product if they don’t think it’s worth their money.
If 343i wants to sell their DLC, then they need to give people a reason to want it.

Skyline and Pitfall are two of the best 4v4 maps in the game. Trailers for each pack were released here, on Youtube, and on the Xbox Live homepage. The quality was there, the advertising was there, the sales weren’t.

Do you blame people for not buying DLC that is currently unplayable (basically) in MM???
I mean, I have bought it for 3 people and myself and told my friends to all get it… but we, the fans, are not the problem.
Without DLC requirements (too late for H4 b/c low pop) or a playlist (ding ding ding) you can’t blame people for not buying it.
Again, I’m with you, but we can only promote a product so much. It really is 343’s fault, at this point, for not ‘fixing it’ (implementing it into MM to where people WILL get to use the product (aka playlist)
Lets look at the thinking process of the Halo community:
> Complain non-stop that not enough people have all the DLC.
> Tells people that ask not to get any DLC.
:-/
Well really it isn’t worth getting just because the way 343 goes about it. I just bought these maps not even 3 days ago thinking I would get more variety and instead I got screwed out of $25. I’ve supported every Halo game since 2001 and the least they can do is make a DLC game type. Who the hell cares if it isn’t popular? Neither is half of the crap on there. It is strictly Team Slayer, Big Team, Swat, and Heavies. That is the vast majority of people playing right there. Right now when Halo 4 is having it’s busiest time of the day there is maybe 10,000 people total online. Out of those 10,000 if they have been playing it this long or got the recently released GOTY Edition then they have all the maps. Out of those 10,000 I’m sure there are at least 1000 that have them and that’s plenty to warrant people actually getting their money’s worth.

2 out of 11 maps. what about the other 8?
Just because you put out an ad does not mean you automatically get record sales. An ad has to attract people to what you’re selling, and make them willing to accept the price.
If the quality was there, and the advertising was there, then the sales would also have been there.
Funny, some people don’t get it at all, some people kinda get it & others get it.
The people that say ‘logic fail! You’re telling people not to get it but you’re complaining about not playing it’ are the ‘kinda gets it’.
The ones that say ‘343 needs to give us a reason to buy it’ actually get it. And these are mainly people that own the DLC of course. If someone asks about value ‘right now’ of getting DLC… what is the honest answer? It’s not rocket science.
The people saying the ‘logic fail’ are the people that are really inside the box. You’re stating the obvious. The point is if 343 implemented it properly (playlist, requirements, whatever) then everyone (or most) that don’t have it, would have it. That makes people that have it, happy. Get it? That makes EVERYONE say ‘yes, it’s a no brainer’…
Again, I personally would buy it period, no exceptions. But I’ll give honest feedback of what the situation / value is to each and every customer… so they don’t have a reason to cry (thus killing the kinda gets it POV).
In reality, you’re barking at a broken system. The ‘gets it’ people are trying to fix the broken system… not necessary demoting the DLC.
Nobody that owns it ‘wants’ people to not buy it… it’s captain obvious on some of these posts…
Sadly no, not at this point in time, there are many around waypoint trying to get 343 to fix this so people can play the DLC in matchmaking.

Well here is the thing, I told my friends to go get the DLC, when they did they could not play it, just like how I could not. Then my friends and any other people I tell to buy it they get pissed at me.
Do you honestly think I shoudl tell someone to go buy something they can not play again? The only way I will start telling people to buy DLC again is if you can actually play it.
Yes get the DLC the more people that have it the more likely we will be able to play on the DLC maps.
No, it’s not worth the cost, even if the cost were 1/2 - 2/3 off the price.
If it were FREE to everyone, then chances are good you would get to actually play/enjoy the maps in wargames.
