I picked up halo 2 vista recently and my pc cant run it.
is it possible to make it work on xbox 360?

If not i’ll have to buy a fraking 600 dollar computer to play a 20 dollar game

Nope, Halo 2 Vista is a PC game, not a console game.

You don’t need a $600 computer to run Halo 2. My laptop barely runs it. I got that for like $230.

You can play Halo 2 multiplayer on the Xbox 360 by using Xbox connect, it’s basically a program that links your xbox to anyone else who’s using the program, so you’re essentially playing system link with people across the world, it’s really awesome, no lag and it’s just like playing it back in the good ol’ days AND it’s on xbox. Theres alwasy 100-500 people online and you can pick what ever xbox you want to connect to.

No, it’s called a PC game for a reason. And a $300 PC can play Halo 2. You don’t even need a graphics card.

Consoles are designed to intentionally keep people from doing stuff like this. From what I understand, H2V is also enough of a memory hog that it wouldn’t even work with the 360’s 512MB RAM pool without some porting work that goes well beyond just making sure architectures agree.

If you want to play Halo 2, you’re going to have to get a compatible PC or purchase the Xbox title, which can run (admittedly with some problems) through an emulator on the 360. It’s also entirely possibly that 2014 will give us a Halo 2 Anniversary on the next Xbox, but I wouldn’t hold my breath on that.
