I believe there was one in halo2. I dont want to be that guy but i’m very tired of getting either slayer game types, forge world maps (hemmorage) or both. The only other two maps i’ve seen are 1flag on boneyard or one flag on spire, but thoose options are never voted on because most people go into BTB do get as many kills as they can.
Then again maybe i’m just the last of my kind. I used to be in a clan in halo 2 and we actually had individual side objectives in BTB.
We would use tactics on Headlong:
def: drive warthog up to the flag and cover it
Attack: go through tele>grab brute shot>shoot their rocket off its spawn so they cant find it.
I NEVER get these moments anymore.
I think the population in BTB might be high enough to split it but, sadly i dont think anyone wants to play objective anymore. Too many stat buffing/slayer casuals.
I prefer Objective games over Slayer and would prefer to have more weight on Objective gametypes than split the population. This is how it was done in Halo 2 where slayer matches were rare as a full moon.

It seems to me that 2 of the three voting choices in one of the rounds are dedicated to objective. I get some objective from time-to-time when I want when searching in a party. If you want Headlong play Anniversary BTB or get friends with Anniversary maps.

No one ever votes for the objective gametypes most of the time. I feel like i get slayer on hemmerage or boneyard most of the time.

So you mean the full party boosting nubs finally decided it isn’t fun to vote for 15 minute kill capless slayer?

It does when you drag out the match instead of playing the objective. Boosting commendations with a full party+ on a team of smaller parties/randoms by voting for objective game types but then not doing the objective is boosting. Also take note that boosting is considered cheating and I report all cheaters. So if I face you and you’re nooby team holds the objective to boost commendations I’ll be sure to report your whole team before I leave due to lack of interest of carrying bad kid randoms that I get.

Still not boosting. Boosting would be matching a party of AFKs deliberately.

we play nothing but objective games in BTB because thats the only thing that comes up for us, you might be a bit unlucky getting slayer in BTB all the time then.
Boosting lol it doesn’t say anywhere that you have to cap the flag or arm the bomb straight away, if you don’t want to be spawn killed in BTB then play with a bigger party.
