I was thinking about buying the 47 req pack for 99$ now that there is a sale so it should be less. With 47 different gold req packs, is it possible to get every item/emblem etc in the game?
Nope. You are level 41, don’t waste your money on gold packs yet. Finish you silver first and then you may consider buying gold pack with cash. Even then, I’m pretty sure there is more than 94 Ultra-Rare and Legendary/Mythic items so 47 gold packs isn’t enough.

Why? There is a higher chance to get better/rare stuff if you are a higher spartan level?

No but the way the systems work is:
Silver pack | common - rare
Gold pack | uncommon - legendary
So if you still have common and uncommon item left to unlock, your gold packs will grant you mostly with uncommon and rare item. It’s a pool prize system and uncommon/rare item have higher chance to be unlock than ultra-rare and legendary.
Always open silver until you start receiving 2x1,500 RP back. That would mean you have unlock everything from common to rare and that it is time to start opening gold packs. Opening gold when you are not finish with silver is a waste of RP. Why spend 10,000RP to get 2x uncommon item when you could spend 10,000 (2x silver packs) to get 4 uncommon?

I was not aware of this and I have spent enough on Gold packs already but I have not spent any real money on them. So how do you know when you are finished with silver? When you get 2x 1500 req points after every game?

Not every game. You will receive 2x 1,500 req points back when opening silver pack. Since there won’t be any permanent unlock left (common - rare), the req points you get back are replacing them. So hop on the quest to gold.
There are about 540 Common - Rare unlocks that you can get through REQ packs. When they’re all yours, you’ll still have 382 Ultra-Rare and Legendary unlocks to get, which comes out to ~270 Silver packs and 195 Gold packs. 47 is nothing until you only need that many more to complete your collection.
Yes, when you’ve finished silver packs, you’ll start getting REQ points back.

Or if you really want to spend money you could buy the gold while on sale but don’t open them until after you finish silver. I would say spend no money cause you will get it all over time, but if you want to that way may be best.
You can’t get everything in Gold Packs. Achilles, HCS crap, etc. are locked so you either missed your chance or you have to buy packs with real $$$ or do something in the game.
As for your question - why not.
When I was over 40lvl I had majority of the collection, so why not. Buy it if you want.
47 REQ packs doesn’t even get you close to everything. There are over 440 different armor and helmet variations. Nearly 300 emblems. Hundreds of other items. Don’t waste your money.

If you want you can buy the gold packs them save them until AFTER you finish silver packs. Then you will actually get good items from them

I didn’t know this before and I wasted more than 100,000 req points on Gold packs, now I will save up all my points to mostly open silver packs. But at what point will I know I should start opening Gold packs? Once I am around Spartan Rank 100?

I still need to open at least 200 silver packs + nearly 200 gold packs. You really NEED to open A LOT, A LOT of packs.

That seems like a good strategy. Also even if you buy the super pack there is simply too much gear in the game to get it all. You will get some Legendary’s for sure though. I did an ok job of collecting but in hind site I would have Bronzed my way to about level 25, Silvered my way to about level 65 or 70, then Gold-ville after that. They should consider keeping the prices lower in general for the Golds since the game has been out 7 months now and there is such much more armor, emblems, and skins compared to launch.

You can buy pack and open them whenever you want! So I suggest you buy them, and save them until you have finish with your Silver packs.

There is indeed a lot of packs to open, are you using the spreadsheet/tracker to see what left you have to unlock? It is really useful someone has put the link above but here it is again in a lazy link
I was somewhere in the SR level of the 130’s when I got all reqs, I never bought anything. You can’t get all the emblems though through packs.
