Is it known when, or if they'll add a proper shotgun?

Has there been any word on an actual shotgun being added to the game, or even a mentioning from any of the devs?

For a shotgun the bulldog is ridiculously weak for a shotgun. It should be capable of one shoting in cqc. I’m surprised the sniper can still one shot with how this “shotgun” was balanced. It should’ve called it the Lilpup instead.

Even though it’s “full auto” the fire rate is laughably slow on-top of it’s low damage. It fires about as fast as the real shotgun we used to have despite being able to just hold down the trigger for some reason.

Its definitely different but that thing freakin eats, and has decent range on it… its a faster TTK than a lot of weapons actually. Its grown on me quite a bit, but i would like to see the old shotgun(s) back.

Id like to see pretty much every weapon back actually – atleast for certain game modes and on forge/customs.

Since they have stated that more weapons, including classic ones, are going to be added; I think it is safe to assume that the Halo Reach shotgun will join the high-tier pickups slots sometime soon.

The Bulldog is a great gun, but as a mid-tier.

I think at this point the community pretty much agrees it needs to come back, but nothing official, that I’m aware of, has been said. That being said, the way 343 is operating right now, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the shotgun and Infection 9 months down the road with forge, after the game has died.

I think the bulldog needs a buff on ROF. It seems I get smoked by BRs when I’m just one shot away from a kill. It would also be nice to see the other shotgun, that way we can have our guard dog, and bull dog

Where’s the tactical shotgun? I remember seeing it and it is even included with some of my mega blocks Infinite figures.

Nah the Bulldog is fine just how it is. It kills in 2 shots from behind and 3 shots from the front with a steady fire-rate.

Megabloks cannot be trusted for everything.
Armor leaks sure, but they use whatever weapons they want in their kits.

Had a couple of custom games last night with mates. We set up games with just the Bulldog. We used to have a lot of shotties games in H5.

It was a lot of fun. Definitely a different flavour to the classic shotgun… but a lot of potential there.

Definitely a shoot and melee weapon.

It just bothers me, literally about to fire another shot, and I die instead. Otherwise, Bulldog is great.

Step 2: Throw Bulldog
Step 3: BR Bodyshot
Step 4: BR Headshot
Step 5: Pick up Bulldog from the ground because that mf is dead

I don’t know, but melee weapons being the only weapons (besides snipers) with OHK (one hit kill) capabilities kind of bites.

The bulldog is okay I guess, but having it replace the classic shotgun leaves an unfilled “run up and kill them instantly with bullets” niche.

I’ve always thought the idea of a one hit kill shotgun in Halo was weird. Everyone is a spartan running around in Mjolnir armour and has energy shields.

Bulldog is great. Honestly with the art style of Infinite’s sandbox, an old school shotgun would look funky unless it’s just the Reach one.

Would like it back, along with literally everything else for Forge/ Customs though. Just for the variety.

Actual MM sandbox though? Maps play great with the current weapons.

To be fair, the bulldog is an, “actual shotgun,” lol, but I understand you want a pump shotty.

Shouldn’t be running straight into BR shots to begin with.

Most importantly to me, when these weapons are added back in to multiplayer, will they be included in the campaign as well?

The steps you just gave me require
A: A BR
B: I need to be closer than I already was.
Normally in these scenarios, I don’t want to risk meleeing or I cannot melee because I thought I could kill them.

I’m trying not to though?
