I really tried, but they couldn’t even give me an apology.
I need advanced therapy now.
Yeah, I’m in the same position here. Halo Infinite killed my love for Halo. The fact that the game is overall very poorly made and aggressively monetized, covered in a razon thin veil of nostalgic graphics/art style as you have said, is a massive insult to long time fans. Several months ago, I would have been chastised and insulted for criticizing Halo Infinite’s nostalgia-oriented art style. Now? It can still happen, but Infinite already looks so bad with all the awful over-the-top silly cosmetics that they keep adding, from the glowing cyber mohawk to the digital visor and, worst of all, the CAT EARS, which completely destroys the purpose of the game’s so-called “return to form” style. And then there are the other massive issues, including but NOT limited to: extremely overfrequent desyncs, bullets passing through walls for no reason, and overall lack of content. It pains me that people are still defending this trainwreck of a game, but thankfully more and more people are realizing just how horrible it really is.
I am glad I did NOT pay $60 for this colossal travesty of a campaign. After playing through it, I was left with the most abhorrent taste in my mouth. Where is Blue Team?! Where is the Arbiter?! Where is Lasky?! I was left with so many questions, yet no answers, which then led me to actively hating it. At this point, I would easily redirect $40 to Serious Sam 4 and then $18 to the newly released Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem (both on Steam, of course), all for a much better, much more consistent, and much more explosively fun experience!
At the beginning (E3 2018, when the game was announced), I was already apprehensive about Halo Infinite. Then, come E3 2019, I was becoming more apprehensive. Next, fast forward to July 2020, and we got a lackluster Campaign Gameplay Premiere. Finally, fast forward to late 2021, and we have a Halo game that spits on the franchise and long time fans. A 6 year development cycle and a $500 million budget, only for the game to end up being worse than subpar? Now I really want Halo Infinite to die.
I have not touched this game since January of this year and I will never touch it again. I quit Halo Infinite a LOT faster than I quit Asphalt 8, and in case I didn’t say it, I played Asphalt 8 from 2014 to 2019 (the game went south in 2016 due to Gameloft being acquired by Vivendi), and that was 5 years of agony for me. I’m glad my total hours spent on Halo is greater than my total hours spent on A8 though.
Regardless, if anyone wants to play with me, I’ll be available on MCC and H5 almost daily. At least MCC and H5 consistently give me fun experiences without paywalls or poor netcode. Plus there’s co-op campaign and Forge!

Hahaha I don’t have a reply because I got slapped so hard that I’m just going to laugh now so I can desperately try to have the upper hand. Hahahaha!!! so funny hahaha!!
Sure, you think it is funny until it is YOUR body being attacked. I can’t help the fact that I am a helicopter trapped in a man’s body. It was not my decision, respect my proper pronouns of, “vtol” or “chopper.” If we are friends it is “choppa” to be less formal.
No, its not funny. It makes me sad.
Im a SR152 in halo 5. Played almost daily halo 5.
Since a few days i left halo infinite. Because of all the issues in MP not fixed, lack of MP content, and so on.
Maybe coming back after the mid feb patch, to check the situation.
But no, its not funny.
Yeah it isn’t funny anymore and it’s really heartbreaking that this developer has become such greedy dirtbags. I just wish they’d step down and stop making MP games entirely.
I personally want a reckoning.
343 try not to ban me challenge (failed instantly)
Finally a decent human being on these forums. Why won’t others just accept me for who I am? Worse, they attack me by trying to tell me I am something else. My feelings are crushed. My skin is that thin.
uh huh, sure dude

I have 0% hope in 343 and their past history should have already warranted caution.
