I would expect Ranked to focus on skill while Quick Play would focus on connection (which I don’t know 100% if this is how Halo Infinite Matchmaking works), which makes sense, but at the same time shouldn’t ignore the other aspects of the search (Quick Play should still consider the players skill when matching).
Is it just me, or do you all play like 2-3 Quick Play games and you are doing great. Then the next 5 matches are full teams, full communication, sweatiest of the sweatiest and you have the most bot players on your team. This consistently happens to me and it has become so regular that it is completely unfun when it’s happening. I must be in between skill brackets and if so, there is a HUGE jump in skill between them.
I am going off my understanding of matchmaking, if it is different than i perceive, please correct me. I just want a more smooth transition into being destroyed.

Yeah I’ve had sweatier quickplay matches than ranked in a lot of instances.
Even fiesta a casual chaotic game type people are moving in waves of 2-3 and absolutely sweating running cross maps for a single kill. Everyone these days is just infested with some form of high level esports mentality and it can really sap the fun aspect out of it. Halo 3 had the perfect balance between serious and casual play. I’ve never been great at Halo but good enough to have fun on the other games and I’ve accepted no matter how much I play, Im likely not going to get much better so the face Halo Infinite almost feels like a sweat fest every match and a chore to play is sucking some of the soul out of it for me.
Dont get me wrong I absolutely LOVE Infinites CORE gameplay mechanics and weapon sandbox (despite a few weapon tuning mishaps) Its easily my favourite Halo to play since H3. Just the casual aspect as much as it HAS casual modes to play is still infested by that SWEATYYYY mentality.
EDIT: just adding in before the prepubescent post 2005 kids come in screaming get gud. It isnt and never will be about getting better. You should be able to have fun no matter your skill level. Halo has always been really inclusive of all skill levels but H5 and Infinite dont seem to have that same factor.
