Big Team Battle’s my game mode of choice if I had a say lol. Don’t care what mode in BTB either… Team Slayer, Stock Pile, or Total Control it matters not.

It’s not being forced, but 343 linking an entire event with incentives (cool armor pieces that are impossible to unlock elsewhere) to an unpopular game mode is frustrating.

I get that putting the event challenges in a different mode would conflict with the ‘your Spartan is a lone wolf’ narrative they’re going for, but the point still stands. Last Spartan Standing fell off the moment Season 2’s launch event ended, and tying more limited events to it won’t breathe any new life into the game type.

I am painfully trying to finish the LSS weekly challenge and all it is doing is make me HHHAAATTTEEE this game. WTF 343. Seriously.

Stuck doing melee kills on enormous maps. WTF!

You have a point but I think lazily designed Events may as well not exist.

LSS isn’t even a unique mode, more like a hodge podge of Attrition, FFA Slayer and Gungame except somehow very unfun to play. It’s just a bad game mode and a Bad Event.

Could have a good event but this is what we got, and that’s what ticks me off.

Events should be fun and uniting of the community. Most of the threads today have been about the seething hate for LSS and the ridiculous quests for it. 6 melee kills is the ultimate quest on enormous maps!

Honestly yea, people have already told 343 that LSS on a BTB map is garbage, especially with only 10 players.

LSS on Live Fire would actually have been fun, constant action and killing, and match ends faster.

Heck you know what else could have been fun for LSS? A mode where 1 player vs several AI bots which Iratus has “controlled”

The people who enjoy the game mode are more likely playing the game instead of spending it on these forums complaining about it. It’s not uncommon for pleasant experiences to go unheard of and untold when in comparison to people marching up to complain about their bad experiences.

This is pretty normal just about everywhere you go and everything you do.

They could probably do team slayer events with just standard slayer as the event mode. Probably the most popular mode in Halo, and you’d still see more complaints about it then post compliments.

Not really a reliable way to judge how popular something is.

I rarely think of what I look like. Halo is just fun to play. I pick the playlist I’m in the mood for, and just have fun. What are you doing?

Not to mention the fact that the challenges are bs like headshots and melee kills. You can’t just play the mode, you have to sweat your but off to get headshots or to get close enough to melee

Get used to it. This is all Halo Infinite is ever going to offer. Mindless events and doing the same things over and over again each Season. Infinite is all about cosmetics and boring events that are just a random playlist added and some extra orange challenges thrown in. Such a lazy and uncreative idea for how to execute events and this was the best 343 could come up with after “years of planning.” lmao

If the player base was truly “healthy” in Halo Infinite, Xbox or 343 would simply release that data like everyone else does and end this debate in an instant. But Microsoft and Xbox can’t compete with the other consoles in most data gathering, so they hide as much of their info on purpose and instead only give yearly revenue reports. The Xbox 360 is still Microsoft’s best selling console of all time, and it barely makes the top 10 at number 9.

Microsoft is a joke and they are ruining any franchise or developer they buy out… So enjoy Starfield, Fallout, and Elder Scrolls while you can because it’s only a matter of time before Money Microsoft ruins these newly acquired developers and their IPs next.

How refreshing would it be in the market we have today where it is all battle royales and giant open worlds, to actually have an old school game like Halo 1-3 come out?

I think this generation that did not grow up with Xbox 360 style shooters would love it today.

What is old now becomes new one again.

If Halo 7 was a throw back style campaign to Halo 1-3, and released a fully functioning arena style multiplayer like Halo’s of old…(f-this FTP crap), I think it would be huge.

You would make the OG players happy, they would praise the game, the publicity would be positive, the streamers would want to get involved, and the new kids on the block would want to play this old school game.

I was always taught the key to a successful business is give the customers what they want.

The problem with 343 is they dictate what they think the customer wants, and since Halo 4 that has not been the case.
