I personally don’t like halo 5 and at this point I would think twice about buying the game. As a long time halo fan of both the games and other forms of media I want to see halo 5s campaign but the gameplay from the multiplayer isnt for me. I do how ever havr a rather sinple solution that would please everyone in my opinion. Split the play lists in 2. allow for a classic play list which lets halo 5 play like classic halo games and one that lets halo 5 play like every other boring modern shooter.
Anyway on to my point for this post.
Does your individual opinion matter when it comes to halo 5? At this point in development nothing we say is gonna have a really large effect on the game. the new abiltys will be there in the final launch despite many people being against the idea. it should be noted that just as many people are for the idea of these abiltys and simply telling them to go play call of duty is not a solution.
I understand everyone has some “feedback” about halo and the direction of halo in general even if that is a thousand complaints. Personally my biggest problems with halo 5 are the abiltys and the call outs. I really hate that it counts down to when the power weapons will spawn because that used to be map knowledge. I dislike the smart aim because I believe is not really needed in halo how ever some of my friends that are not good at the other halos are all for smart aim as they believe it makes the game easier.
The thing is at the end of the day the only people who’s opinions matter at all are the people who make the game because if they are happy and proud of there product and ideas nothing we say or do will change that. I feel halo 5 will go the way of halo 4 pretty fast and will sell well but suffer from the same population issues because it wont offer any unique game play unlike halo 1-3. but from a business stand point that doesn’t matter because its not about keeping people playing its about making millions in the first few weeks after launch.
Despite everything halo is gonna sell well. why? because people like me who don’t like the direction of the game will buy it for the campaign. Much like all the people out there that say call of duty is rubbish it still sells well, even the weaker titles such as ghosts. halo will do the same and by the time people get tired of buying halo because its so far from the game we used to know it will be too late to fix it and halo will die out like the classic games from our childhoods did (sonic and crash bandicoot?)
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope that what ever your views on this game are that you can be civil in your replies and the way you talk to each other.
Bu if you were winning,it would be the greatest game in the world…! However, handling losses is just what a game is all about, whether it be Halo 5 or any of the COD’s out there for FPS in multiplayer platforms… Better to get pwnd in a new game than an old one …! IDK…! LOL…!

Because the only reason people could dislike a game is if they are losing?
If I lost/lose in halo CE, I accepted they were better than was…sometimes you can toss it to lag however, you’d still recognize your opponent was good.<div></div><div>When I play any other halo game… I’m left wondering if I won because I’m better or lost because I’m worse… That distinct skill line from halo 1 was diminished at the start of halo 2 with the a insane of auto aim and other game play issues that promoted pray and spray, as well as camping. </div>
I don’t think it’ll be worth expressing opinions unless one of the major news networks (CNN, MSNBC) picks the story up. It doesn’t seem like the player’s opinions matter anymore because every single new thing about the Halo multiplayer screams “Call of Duty”.
Halo 5 will sell well, but it won’t sustain.
Maybe by Halo 6, the community will finally understand the direction 343 keeps taking doesn’t have the depth to sustain interest for more than 2 months and the game WON’T sell well.
Or maybe 343 will finally get it and finally listen.
It annoys me that they just won’t make a Halo game.
If they actually were to, the game would have initial sales equal to that, or more, of the gimmicky ones, but people would actually play it for years, thus confirming DLC, and Xbox Live purchases, and they’d generate more interest in the next iteration of the game.
Maybe Microsoft doesn’t want that because it means people won’t buy the other non-Halo games that get released down the road.
That would be sad. Food for thought.
You can have opinions, but when you make threads such as 343 sucks, 343 has ruined halo, those do not help this game at all. Asking to remove features doesn’t help instead try giving constructive feedback instead of going I want halo 2.

I give constructive feedback with I prefer Halo 1 because all other halos are subpar… I give reasons on why it was more balanced… But get told to I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking… <div></div><div>I’m not asking for halo 5 to be Halo 1… Just asking halo go back to its roots in terms of balance and skill gap. </div>

But from my point of view I don’t want halo 2 again. I would like a game that takes from halo 2 and 3 and builds upon it in the same idea of growth. looking at adding new weapons and vehicles without greatly changing the fundamentals of the game. I dont believe sprint breaks the game or anything like that. I a not a fan of the gimmicky thruster packs or other amour abiltys but that’s my opinion and doesn’t mean that’s what everyone should want.
I believe 343 need to make a halo game for the halo fans and not for the hope of bringing in more players from other games. again its my opinion.

Your opinions on here will matter a lot more if no one preorders the game and bus it when it comes out. So many people pre-order and then they don’t have to change anything, they already have your money. That’s why MCC was a flop for the first… Still is.

> The ‘feedback’ for this beta is a titanic mosh-pit. There’s no way to derive a substantial amount of valuable criticism when you’re looking for it in a massive vortex of conflicting opinions, blind praise, blind hatred, etc. When you post your thoughts on Halo 5, you’re playing an intellectual lottery. The chances of those thoughts being seen, considered, and then implemented are close to zero. To top it all off, 343 is notoriously nontransparent with their design philosophies, and I don’t see them being particularly receptive to any criticism that even slightly conflicts with their vision. After all, we’re beta testers - not valued consultants.

> Even if you did manage to get a thoughtful critique through to the developers, it’d be drowned out by seas of satisfied fans that like everything about the game just because it’s Halo. I hate to be the fatalist here, but our individual opinions don’t matter, and they never will.
It would be cool if they sent out a question air to everyone that took part in the beta with multiple choice questions on it so people could give feedback and they can see what people like and don’t like. they wouldn’t even need to look at them really as a computer would just give them a percentage of each aspect. so say they were given 10 questions they would have 10 pieces of information saying if the community as a whole likes or dislikes the thing in question. i believe that would be a much better solution.
