Is it Button or Automatic?

OK, so from the ViDoc we definately know that sprint is in the game.

As much as people don’t like that (including me) we will have a playlist (or hopefully many playlists) that will not have it in.

Now, here was a post on the MLG forums :

as you can see from the first few gif images, the player sprints, but there is no indicator that he has sprint. (unless i am blind, which i probably am.)

I understand it is only Alpha or Pre-Alpha footage, so it would make sense if they didn’t have an onscreen icon for it.

But, from the images, do you think it is just natural forward movement now? You don’t have to press a button, you just hold the analog stick forward and your spartan sprints automaticaly.

or do you think it is still a button pressing manor?

I am only asking because:

  1. it doesn’t look like anything says the spartan has sprint.
    and
2.i think it would be cool to have automatic sprint, then everyone would have it all the time and Halo would be somewhat balanced in that aspect of the game.

ಠ_ಠ ] Well it’d be a game breaker if it auto. Imagine you’re in a firefight, suddenly you start sprinting = result is death. It’s still a push to sprint.

Yeah, that would be the downside of having it auto, it would -Yoink- you over in many situations, but imo, sprint doesn’t work with halo unless they make kill-times the same as COD, which would be a horrible idea.

Time for Reach2.0 :frowning:

Hey we still have 9 months to release  They can change ALOT during that time.

Why the hell would someone make an auto-sprint? That’s just as bad (if not worse) as how they implemented crouch in CEA.

Maybe, it was a pick like overshields or active camo like in H3.

That is true, I will still have a sliver of hope that this game will be good, and yes, they could change some things, but they already said they were in crucnh time, so they will only change tiny things.

Oh well, we will just have to see what other info they uncover in the next few months

I think this idea would be good, because everyone spawns fair-ground, and it would be like 2/3, run for power weapons, gain map control, use pickups to their advantages.

I’d definitely them to expand on the map-based power-ups. OS and camo are really getting dull.

that actually sounds awsome

if they make it that if ur running for a few seconds it just picks up momentum and starts to sprint

it would free up a button for something else

perhaps the thruster thing is just used by jumping and holding the jump button to thrust you up and forword

maybe all “perks” are implimented that way

that would work well.
