Yeah but a lack of secondary weapon in Ranked promotes going and finding a good secondary. If you already have it then there’s no point. But big no to the shotgun still. A power weapon, yes the Bulldog is one, as a secondary is just a bad idea. Everyonw would only use the Bulldog because its range is so long
Draining some shield with the AR and then swapping to the pistol once they’re at 1/2 ot 1/3 shield strength seems pretty effective to me. Seems to beat people who try and get the kill with just the AR or just the Sidekick
its easyy to dodge lots of bulldog damage at range and shred with the AR.
ranked and ranked arena are normally 2 different settings liike in halo 5. ranked arena can still be no radar with just br’s. Ranked slayer should be radar, br/sk starts
The sidekick, contrary to its name, has a shorter ttk than either the AR or BR.
Right. Currently is br team slayer not team slayer.
Omg this is so much easier hahahah I’ve been landing just headshots for years because I thought it was 4 headshots with the BR to get a kill instead of 3 body + last one head. Thanks, Mad.
With how frustrating it is to need to reload so frequently usually after a single kill, it’s good to use both so you don’t get caught in reload as much.
For context I rank diamond. I used to use the Sidekick as my primary and if I didn’t landed all my shots I had to reload and I was dead. Thanks to @Madcat124 I’ve been using the AR as my primary and I’ve been doing better.
Also think about using Sidekick when following a teammate so you can swap to AR after a few shots and avoid reload if needed. Sidekick is decent with team-shot. Actually, I’m always switching between the two, in order to fight multiple targets.
(I feel weird suggesting AR use, lmao - have never been a fan of it)
Both are not very good. This is why we need BR starts.
Haha I know but now it is powerful and with great range
Depends on the weapon.
If a weapon can head shot than than consecutive head shots will do more damage than body shots followed by a head shot.
Snipers are 2 shot body or 1 shot head.
Side arms kill faster if aim for the head before popping shields.
Commando kills a shot faster if you aim for the head before the shield pops.
The fasted a BR can kill is in 4 shots no matter what.
I recommend doing the shooting range to test out the damage differences.
Both have a much faster TTK than the BR.
You’re stuck in old Halo.
I assume you mention your rank as a reference to your overall weapon skill? Seeing you don’t spawn with AR/SK there
OT: I use the AR as primary as well except when flanking or being chased. The sidekick only needs 4 bullets for a melee combo so if you know you can get close it’s a very reliable kill (a part from melees sometimes not registering of course lol)
The AR is far easier to use and shred people with because of the firerate. Against the Sidekick, it is likely to win though if the Sidekick user paces their shots skillfully. They have the lesser TTK and will win against the AR user.
AR vs Sidekick; who wins?
AR wins because how fast it can deal the damage and ease of usability. Sidekick would only win based on skillfully pacing and bursting shots.
Right. I’m pretty good with the BR. But when it comes to socials I have a hard time figuring out what weapons to use.
Funny how my kid average s 12/1 last night when I had a BR but I’m stuck in old Halo lol. Bruh Halo is Halo
High K/D out of context does not mean much. Ignoring the objectives to collect kills does not make someone good. Taking the last shot after you team puts in the work to pop the shields does not make the BR a better weapon than the AR or Sidekick. Those two weapons objectively have a faster time to kill than the 4 shot BR. Yes. Halo is Halo. Nobody is saying it isn’t. I’m saying you are stuck in the past if you think BR is still the king in multiplayer.
