I mean seriously, the matchmaking is so screwed up, I swear I’m going against people who get paid to win. I never have fun unless I have twice as much kills as my deaths (something I need to fix about myself), so I just sit in a corner in my armory and just camp. Is this a bad thing? I try to look at it as base defending because I’m a lot better at defending than attacking, but I know I seem like a cheap -Yoink-.

Everybody camps at in one game or another. As long as you are helping your team win, it should be good. But if you are just doing it to get the best score, than it is helping no one.

Well, you should be playing the objective and killing bosses. Objectively, I suppose you’re helping by killing other Spartans of the other team, but helping to kill the bosses, even if from afar would be a bigger help to the team overall.
Not that I should tell you how to play Warzone, it’s the only game-type where it doesn’t necessarily matter if you win or lose, so you can go buck-wild in that mode, that’s sort of what it’s meant for at the moment.
To each their own. Sometimes I like to just take a break and chill out in the armory as a defender with the AI marines. Nothing wrong with playing defense, especially when the other team tries to invade!

By the way OP, if your tie to fun is your K/D i’d focus on that. Have fun for the sake of having fun.
It’s encouraged quite frankly. Pushing without a vehicle is suicide more often than not.
I’m not replying with a rude tone. There is no pay to win in Halo 5 Guardians for WARZONE. A lot of players treat WARZONE as a huge FFA so if you end up with team mates who scatter the field, its not going to be a fun situation. Everyone starts at the same level in WARZONE and cannot request powerful REQ’s until they are earned. For the camping please pass some roasted marshmallows.
