I was wondering if invasion has been confirmed in H4. If so, will we still use elites for the opposite team, Or will we have a new species?

There’ll be something to “scratch that itch”, according to 343i. Longbow was designed around a new gametype that hasn’t been revealed yet, I’m assuming it’s that one.
We can only speculate, as of now.
Why does everybody assume there’s going to be a new species in Invasion? I always thought it would be just fine with Spartans vs. Spartans. No need for dinos at all!

This. Invasion is more or less confirmed, and according to Frankie there will be something to scratch the itch that was left by the Elites.
The problem with Invasion in Reach is lack of post-release support. You cant design a map to be both BTB and Invasion, it just doesnt work.
It was originally meant to be in Halo as far back as Halo 2, but they could never get it to work right or support it. Same with Halo 3. Sandtrap ( I think) was originally meant to be an Invasion map.
Supporting it is the problem. We got two maps with Reach, and two versions of Invasion. Not really enough for a whole playlist. Then we go Breakpoint, which is never seen along with Skirmish and all the rest of it. We’ve only just got some Forge Maps in.
If it returns, its going to have the same lack of support as Reach. We know there’s going to be nine DLC maps. Nine maps to cover normal gametypes, BTB and Invasion is pushing it.

I don’t know how I feel about Invasion in Halo 4. On one hand, it’s a fantastic gametype. On the other hand, it would just feel weird (to me) without Elites.
Remember the Generator defence in the Reach Beta? $5 says it’s that.

It was nice to hear her say that invasion was “part of” Halo, not just something that they felt they would tag along with.

Unless you can throw logic in what the spartans where preparing for if there finding there own spartans It could have it make sense.
unfourtinatley I think Halo 4 is spartans only.

Once again proving tyhat multiplay is just spartans. noone else, well just have to wait till halo 5

If it’s not Spartans vs. Spartans, I have a feeling that the new playable species is going to be more than likely Promethean.
