Can you still jump/fall and scope in without hover engaging? I have yet to play the beta but this question has been killing me.
yeah its automatic, but it has a timer. So as of now you cant fall without the stabilizers kicking in
Also if you descope, you will fall, if youre shot at, youll fall. You can also thruster to the side/back/front out of it too if youre taking fire
so what If I want to jump off something while scoped in. I can no longer do this without the hover engaging? I have always love just using gravity to jump scope and shoot.

You can disable it in the settings if you don’t want to hover.
OK I just re read your post. This just seems crazy to me that hoveautomatic. I like the hover feature bit it shouldn’t take away the free jumping/falling and scope killing.
Does anyone else feel me on this? I have yet to play the beta so maybe it’s to soon for me to be freaking out about it.
The default is to auto stabilize when you scope in mid air. It really bothered me so I turned that off after the first game.

is there anyway to do it when you have it disabled?
I’d like to be able to do it sometimes, but having it auto do it everytime sucks, and I haven’t been able to figure out of to do it manualy when I have the auto disabled.
Its good they give us the option to get rid of that… very annoying I find…
The option in the settings is something like you click sprint if you wish to manually engage thrusters.

If it’s disabled you can not do it. It’s either on all the time or off all the time. I personally have it off because hover gets me killed too much. I will try and get away, and by doing that I usually get out of my position (by jumping out) and try to descope/shoot the enemy so he can’t get more shots on me. Hovering is counter productive to staying alive. I’d rather stack on defense than offense.
I have seen some really good players use the Death Scope effectively. Especially when sniping or shooting over a ramp.
