Just wondering because mine certainly is.
I mean I’m not great but when looking at my old halo 3-reach-4 stats my K/D was much better than it is in halo 5.
Right now I’m floating almost perfectly at 1 K/D, I don’t usually care about K/D I just find it interesting. I also have no idea why, maybe I’m not adapting good to the new speed of halo, what are your K/D compared to old games?
Ideally it should be 1 if you are facing people of your skill level. Mine is higher than previous Halos because all I play is warzone and halo 5 is just easier for me. Though, halo 4 is the same k/d as my halo 5 arena k/d. Could just be that ive been getting better over time.
In reach FFA my K/D was 2.1 and in 5 it’s 1.3. I could win a game of FFA with a 25 kill perfection but in 5 just moving about the map is dangerous because of the people constantly spawning behind you when you do.
My KD in H4 and H5 are fairly similar. I was horrible at H2, but that was my first FPS and I was only 13.

But no, I’ve actually gotten better with each new game. So this might be my highest!
I didn’t play Reach or H4, but it’s definitely lower than H3.
But that might just be me getting old…
I think it’s my highest.
Halo 5 is my highest to date last time I did a comparison check.

I have the highest k/d in Halo 5 then I have had in any other fps including all the halos as far as I can remember match making wise.

That’s a crock of crap, I’m sorry. Sure theoretically it is working if you are trading kills. Tell me how much you enjoy playing Arena when you are trading kills all the time? Not much.
By far 5 is the lowest. I was at least over 1.0 in the other games.

Close exciting games are good (e.g. 50 - 49 slayer games). And just because everyone might have a 1.0K/D in a perfect world, it doesn’t mean every game would be trading kills - one game you might go 12 kills 8 deaths, and the next you might go 8 deaths 12 kills

it is crap, that is for sure. Theoretically if you always played people at your skill level, then yes, the most you could ever achieve is 1.0K/D. This is not a perfect system, but it seems to work more than the other halo games from the past, and thus in turn, drives peoples K/D down because they are “more likely” to be playing people of the same skill. This is only applicable to the arena competitive games tho, and since that is all I mostly play, it seems to fit that my K/D has drop from 1.6 to 1.3 respectively.
This game at the highest of levels, most all pros, trade kills non stop and are always around the 1.0 K/D, and they seem to enjoy the game just fine. That IS FUN, because its competitive duh. If destroying noobs is fun to you, then expect to be placed in games where people way above you treat you as a noob. is that “fun” to you? killing noobs one game, and getting destroyed like a noob the next? Keep playing warzone tho, if it makes you “feel” good, but if you want to actually be good, play people at or above your level and accept your K/D might trend in the 1.0 direction.
In halo 5 I am actually slightly better than I’ve been in each past halo game. I’ve always hovered around 1 in every title, some of them I lived in the .9’s. Here overall I am 1.02 and in team slayer where I play most I am 1.04 overall.
