Is Halo really a AAA IP?

Halo 1 Xbox - has no argument. xD

Halo 1 PC/Custom Edition - Has been abandoned of development support, and it’s own support lifecycle has ended.
Good thing sawnose made 2 last patches.

Halo 2 Xbox - was killed after dropping of Xbox 1 support, and the only support it got was patches and multiplayer maps, and after Halo 3 was released matchmaking was put on a low server priority.

Halo 2 Vista - was an absolute failure, and it’s development support was dropped within 1 year, and even when the game should be supported even now.

Halo 3 - had patches, multiplayer maps, but now that Halo Reach is released the game is downsized, and left for dead.

Halo 3: ODST - was just a shameless plug for Reach beta, which charged the full price for a campaign expansion and a multiplayer disc, this game is left for dead too, no matchmaking support of any kind.

Halo Reach - will only get multiplayer maps and patches, and it too will follow the death cycle of Halo 2 and Halo 3.

Halo Wars - only now they’ve announced they’re shutting down server stats. D:

So, hows the Halo IP doing?
Is it doing better than Valve and their Half Life IP?

All I want to know is, if this really is a AAA IP, why isn’t it supported forever, I mean really, if other companies show more and longer care for their games.
Why are all the Halo games bound to a support lifecycle, it’s horrible and mean. :’(

> I disagree. It was testing ground for firefight and a health pack system, and the campaign was definitely full size. Just cause you didn’t have as large an impact on the overall story doesn’t mean that it’s undersized.

> Yes. More games, more fans, more community. Aaand Valve moved on from Half Life ages ago. Bungie has only just moved away from Halo.

the only reason I am here is because of Halo Wars forums going!

I think Halo 2 on pc could of had more support and Halo 3 could of had ALL remakes of halo 1/2 maps.

I think Halo Wars Stat Tracking COULD be put here! I mean really guys if its there, why not put it here!
you just killed Halo Wars!
