Is Halo: Reach called "Reach" or "Halo: Reach?"

Ok this is a bit of a confusing question.
Is Halo: Reach really called Reach, and due to it being within the Halo Franchise the “Halo” has to be apart of it for marketing and various other reasons. Even the main menu of the game and opening credits call it “Reach.”

It is called Halo: Reach.

Reach is part of the Halo story but it still isnt “Halo.” Bungie used Reach as a starting point to work towards their new game. As in they wanted to try new things as in AA’s and weapons. Reach help Bungie break away from Halo to work on games for all platforms.

As far as I can see from here: http://www.bungie.net/Projects/HaloUniverse.aspx, it is called Halo: Reach and it was Bungie’s final contracted Halo game with Microsoft.

OP It depends who you ask

“officially” Its a halo game

But to Die hard fans of 1-3

Its just reach.

It was a spin-off. So as far as I’m concerned it’s just “Reach”.

It is officially called Halo: Reach. Reach is just a “nickname” for it so to speak. It’s catchier and easier to use.
