Just curious, I wonder they still planning on adding more armor or weapon skins for Halo MCC? I wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t planning on making season 9 do to Halo Infinite. I would love to see Red Team armor from halo wars add to the game or even more like the Mark IV or Silent Shadow armor set.

The Collection will still be getting content updates this year, just not in the form of Seasons.

‘As we think about the future, we’ve had a lot of conversations around how to best support MCC once Halo Infinite’s free-to-play multiplayer is up and running. We’ve agreed on two key points: One, we have more MCC work to do and support will continue ; and two, as a studio it’s not ideal to run and continue shipping seasonal updates for two different multiplayer titles concurrently. So, while we very much have more updates coming – including more content, fixes, and features – the manner in which they are delivered is expected to shift. Starting next year, we’re targeting pivoting away from our current seasonal model and cadence to instead focus on smaller MCC updates that can land when they’re ready based on development status and studio roadmap alignment. These updates will continue to be free and will include the unreleased features and content from this year – as well as a continued effort to improve stability and tackle legacy fixes where possible. We still have a lot of goodness to deliver in 2022.’

I hope a new content drop is soon as it feels like Season 8 has been out for a really long time. The main things I still want is pre-game lobbies, Halo 2 and Halo 4 to CGB, party up system, more H2A maps and being able to show off your spartan like in Halo Reach.
I remember in the last flight they had as well there were poses you could choose from that show off your spartan if you were in the top 3 players in a match, I’m wondering when those will be added and they could honestly just use those as well to show off your spartan in the pre/post game lobbies.

I just want some of those new Forge goodies 343 mentioned working on a few months back. Would also infinitely appreciate an increase in the private file limit.

As far as content likely guaranteed; there was 7 more sets of H:O armor for Halo 3 unreleased from season 5; 6 of which received unlock icons during the test flights. There was also talk of skins and visors being worked on for H2A behind the scenes alongside H2A forge updates, as well as assurances that ODST, Reach, and 4 will be receiving further updates and mod tool releases alongside CGB updates.
They did say the door wasn’t closed on the remaining H:O maps being added to 3 either, just that it’s unlikely they will be doing them anytime soon since the only ones left are BTB maps. there is also a small chance they could be considering bringing more/the rest of the H:O Elite armor sets to Halo 3 given how much demand there’s been for them, alongside one set being needed to fix the waist on the ones that were released in Season 7.

Honestly the only Forge things I’d want added more than anything else would be pilotable pelicans for Reach and H2A, the Target Locator for Halo 4, and the ability to disable boundaries in Forge and Custom games for 3, Reach, and 4.

There will likely be some stuff in the exchange. They originally had 10 seasons planned, some of that content was either complete, or near complete, so we’ll get that, and then the previous timed challenge skins will cycle through forever.
