Is Halo Infinite going to be rated T?

I’m a fairly sheltered homeschooled child. Mom has to thoroughly research games before purchasing them, and even though she kinda trusts the Halo franchise, if it’s rated M 18+ she’ll want to investigate it.

Do we know for certain what it’s rating is?

No, we don’t. But I’m certainly hoping it returns to M.

We probably won’t know that for a very long time, but they will disclose the rating long before the game is released. More than enough time for your mom to research it before the game launches.

As mentioned, no one knows. I’m like your mum with my sons when it comes to certain games. It’s good to see other parents taking responsibility and researching. I don’t check every game, I’m a long time gamer and I have a fair idea what to get for the boys. The childs understanding is also an important factor. My eldest is sickened by real life or realistic violence, he cannot watch things like the Hitman film with Timothy Oliphant where there is an arm dismemberment early on.

However, he has no issues disposing demon hordes in Doom. He acknowledges fantasy violence is not real. Whilst your mum might research an 18 + Halo, I feel there would be no issues of major concern. Certain franchises are safe for younger players imo, Halo being one of them at this time. However, as I stated the childs mindset is important. Discuss that with your mum. My son told me how he feels, it helps a lot.

baconsam5283 try to go on home screen and up the site between the Halo logo click GAMES, select the game and view the Rating on down the page classificated game

If the Flood don’t have a significant presence I’m guessing it will be rated T. Without them the earlier Halos could probably get away with a T as well. As I see it 343 had no intentions of bringing the Flood back until fan pressure cracked them so to what extent they will be in Halo Infinite is up in the air.

Damn bro, I feel your pain. My parents would do the same thing when I was under 18. I never saw a Rated R movie or played a Rated M game until I was about 17. However, Halo games were actually something my parents didn’t mind. The primary reasons it was always Rated M was because of the excessive blood and Cortana’s nudity. The curse words were never really M Rated and I’ve played Teen Rated games that had words just as bad.

So as long as they keep it simple like the old Halo games, I’m sure you’re parents will let you play it even if it is Rated m.

I’d trust my kids with the Halo Franchise. I started playing CE at the age of 6 when it first came out, regardless if it’s rated T or M, i’m still gonna buy it for them.

Yeah, the M rated Halo’s are still very tame compared to a lot of other games.

I agree, but you can’t blame Mom for being cautious.
