Is Halo cea worth buying

Yes!
It is the best one out of them all.

> It isn’t worth it because it actually does not play the same as it did way back when. They claim it does but I ran a test mid mission one time. Hit the back button to go back to 10 years ago gameplay and shot a camo elite with the sniper it died. Went into the updated version and fired 4 sniper shots into the second one. It lived and killed Commander Keys and forced me to start the mission from last checkpoint. So yea it’s broken and does not play the same unless you stick to classical settings.

You are wrong!
First, why would you choose that point of the level to test it out you idiot! They are invisible and are hard to hit! Go to the beginning, out your Sniper’s night vision on, and try there! You chose the worst point to test it out. And news flash, it takes 1-2 hits to kill an Elite, even it the head! Second, what difficulty was it on, if an Elite killed Keyes, it probably was heroic, never has my moronic captain been killed on Normal. enemies in Heroic take longer to kill.

You probably just can’t hit the target because my sniper kills it just the same. The graphics have nothing to do with the gameplay. It still plays the same.

You should buy CEA. I thought it was worth it. I got for 40$ and I thought the original campaign beautifuly remastered and with terminals and skulls + map pack for halo reach was worth it.

P.S you should get halo 2 as well. The multiplayer is offline but the campaign is really good and it’s pretty cheap.

I think so.

Yeah, it’s a really good game now made even better with the terminals
Relive the glorious birth of a gaming era, and a console

If you are a CE fan then go for it!
Terminals alone are worth 5 bucks!

It’s definitely worth it.

It’s cheap so I’d say its worth it. Just bear that in mind though, as there are some strange shortcuts that have been made with the graphics.

For that price, it’s a steal when you consider the current price of the Anniversary Map Pack on Xbox LIVE. As for playing the campaign, I didn’t bother going online since all the achievements can be obtained offline.

Def I loved playing the best halo game ever.

BUY IT!

You’re obviously nuts about the series if you use these forums and this remake feels like a new game that you already know all too well. Some of it feels a little repetitive and frustrating just like the original, but it reminds me so much of 3 mixed with a new respect for what the story has become since this all started.

And really, the story means so much more after playing Reach. Going back and playing this after has been lots of fun. Doing it with friends and trying to remember what you did 10 years ago to get past some part of a level without throwing ‘the duke’ across the room has been a few laughs as well.

My .02 buy it if you love the series. Have fun with it. Take your time and do it in pieces.

It’s simply a great game, so yes it’s worth it.

If you like classics and retro settings and new graphics at a push of a button, yes indeed it is worth it.

Yeah it worth it.

It feels great finally to beat Halo: CE on Legendary alone and get an achievement for it.

Yes, best campaign of the series, and best multiplayer maps in reach.

If you want to get a better understanding of the Halo Universe prior to Halo 3 (you said you haven’t played 2 or CE) I would really suggest buying the original CE, it can’t be that expensive 10 years out. Immerse yourself in the original experience before you go for CEA. If you want the maps from CEA you should buy it after you play and beat the original, then you can also enjoy the updated graphical goodness.

Also you really missed out on Halo 2 it made online console gaming what it is today. However I still really enjoyed the Campaign and highly recommend buying it as well. Just like CE it won’t be expensive.

If I had played it only to the second level I would have said no, but the rest of the game was fabulous. You may need to switch back and forth between HD and original not because of looks, but because sometimes objects have been restyled while still retaining the physicality they originally had, meaning intangible floors and walls, and enemies not registering bullets. However the game itself was a nice nostalgia inducer, and fun to play with the new skulls, so I would definitely say it was worth the low price

It costs more than a used Halo 3. I guess they’re pricing it as a semi-classic. The lowest I’ve seen it for at gamestop is $10.

I really liked Halo CE: Anniversary, the new graphics were definitely a change. My only complaint would be the lag which occurs after a long period of playing, so I would recommend saving often.
