Is Halo cea worth buying

Go buy it.

ya for the price it is definitively buy it and even if you dont like the campign (which by the way isnt bad at all) its still worth it for the maps/online the pistol is BEAST and just in my opinion more fun than reach online and you have the option to not have armor abilities so if you want to you can play classic style or reach style and im not sure if the anniverasry mappack that comes with it it for reach can be purchased on the xblm but if it can and you only like online buy that instead… hope this helps

They can. The maps go for 1200 MS points on the marketplace.

If you want the campaign, then go for it. If you want the multiplayer, I’m just here to warn you that Halo 1’s original maps and gameplay will not be included in anniversary.

The campaign is good. Some areas look bad (For example some of the rock walls on the level Halo) and some areas look good (Almost every indoor scenario).
You can switch between new and classic music tracks (I prefer classic) and you can switch between the new and old graphics as well. What you can’t do is switch between the old and new weapon sounds. (The new sounds are a little off on the plasma rifle and the assault rifle, but for weapons like the pistol and the rocket launcher, they hit those sounds dead on).
The Multiplayer is not there. It’s reach’s multiplayer. If you really want the original multiplayer, then either buy Halo 1 for the Xbox and play the maps with a few friends or Buy Halo 1 PC (Or Mac) and play online with whoever’s left online. (The game is quite active for online play on the PC). The older game costs about $5 - $10, but you won’t get skulls, new sounds or graphics from buying the original.

I have both, but it’s your choice.

The game is of great value for 25$ I had a blast going through the campaign getting all the achievements.

> Go my son, and buy the greatest game in gaming history.

I beg to differ with that statement

It isn’t worth it because it actually does not play the same as it did way back when. They claim it does but I ran a test mid mission one time. Hit the back button to go back to 10 years ago gameplay and shot a camo elite with the sniper it died. Went into the updated version and fired 4 sniper shots into the second one. It lived and killed Commander Keys and forced me to start the mission from last checkpoint. So yea it’s broken and does not play the same unless you stick to classical settings.

Yes, get it for sure. It’s great, and I have experienced no lag.

The graphics mode is just a visual layer and shouldn’t affect the mechanics. There are mechanical differences between CE and CEA, but I doubt that’s one of them.

Have you confirmed on re-trial? Are you sure your shots were all hitting the the elite in the new visuals? Were you sure you were placing shots in the same spots? Etc…

Yes!
It is the best one out of them all.

You are wrong!
First, why would you choose that point of the level to test it out you idiot! They are invisible and are hard to hit! Go to the beginning, out your Sniper’s night vision on, and try there! You chose the worst point to test it out. And news flash, it takes 1-2 hits to kill an Elite, even it the head! Second, what difficulty was it on, if an Elite killed Keyes, it probably was heroic, never has my moronic captain been killed on Normal. enemies in Heroic take longer to kill.

You probably just can’t hit the target because my sniper kills it just the same. The graphics have nothing to do with the gameplay. It still plays the same.

You should buy CEA. I thought it was worth it. I got for 40$ and I thought the original campaign beautifuly remastered and with terminals and skulls + map pack for halo reach was worth it.

P.S you should get halo 2 as well. The multiplayer is offline but the campaign is really good and it’s pretty cheap.

I think so.

Yeah, it’s a really good game now made even better with the terminals
Relive the glorious birth of a gaming era, and a console

If you are a CE fan then go for it!
Terminals alone are worth 5 bucks!

It’s definitely worth it.

It’s cheap so I’d say its worth it. Just bear that in mind though, as there are some strange shortcuts that have been made with the graphics.

For that price, it’s a steal when you consider the current price of the Anniversary Map Pack on Xbox LIVE. As for playing the campaign, I didn’t bother going online since all the achievements can be obtained offline.

Def I loved playing the best halo game ever.
