After watching this: http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ROZDEdi1Sg&feature=feedu. Since Halo CEA has kinect support it highly likely Halo 4 will have it as well. Any first party Microsoft game on 360 will probably have kinect support from now on. Kinect is a fanatstic piece of hardware and some may argue that its not, but if integrated properly, games really are better with Kinect.
Halo Anniversary and Forza 4 are good examples of what Kinect can add to the overall user experience. But iv’e read some of the communities reactions and they for some reason hate it. I don’t know why they hate it as halo 4 will most likely have Kinect support. I love that Halo CEA has Kinect support and I for one hated Kinect and only got it beacuse it came with the Xbox 360 250gb slim bundle. My Kinect has been collecting dust since January and finally I have use for it now.
Haters may dislike 343 for making the Analyze and Libary features Kinect exclusive. And I agree with you, but if 343 just made their Kinect support just saying grenade and reload it would have been quite pathetic. Though the Halo community who have a Kinect may be small compared to the ones without Kinect, this is just 343 experimenting with Kinect on Halo. Please do not hate 343 for adding kinect support to Halo, just accept it. Don’t think that this is 343’s attempt to sell Kinect to you because its not, they’re just showing how Kinect and Halo can co-exist.
Will Halo be better with Kinect, your opinions?
I am looking forward to my friends reactions when I randomly scream GRENADE or RELOAD while in the party.
I don’t think I can say it will be better. I think it will be more of a “oh that’s cool” for 5 minutes… then its back to business as usual kinda feeling.
I think Halo could potentially be better with Kinect, but we have not seen it yet. “The Library” could easily be mapped to the D-Pad, and access exclusively to Kinect probably wasn’t the best idea.
What 343 needs to do and look at the limitations of the controller, and see what could be done that only a system like Kinect could do. I hope there is a team looking into Kinect integration for Halo 4, because there are some awesome things that could be done.
As much as I hate to say it. Microsoft forced 343i to add Kinect-only features. It’s a shame because the features that need Kinect could easily be done with say the d-pad on the controller.
That being said, I would LOVE to see some really original and unique ways of using Kinect with Halo 4, I’m sure it’ll be awesome (I own a Kinect my self. Play a lot of Kinect Sports on it haha)

The Kinect features in Halo CEA seem pritty cool, but it is the Kinect ‘only’ factor that is a bit of a turn off.
In my opinion, although there are a couple of games that look interesting (Rise of Nightmares), Kinect is designed at the younger generation of gamers(Kinectimals, Spongebob Surf, Fantastic Pets, Carnival Games), and people who use it for fitness.
(not even going to bother listing all the fitness games lol)
This is the reason I don’t already have a Kinect, and I would say that at least 60 to 75% of FPS orientated gamers Don’t have a Kinect.
I for one am not going to spend £120 just to be able to use some fancy side features.
