So I’ve all but given up on this year’s installment of Halo, and with that I’m wondering is Halo 6 coming out for the Xbox One?
I wouldn’t be surprised if they dropped a few non-numerical titles before anything surfaces on H6, but is is possible that may come at the end of X1’s lifetime and into the next generation (4D dawg) of consoles?
Honestly, if that’s the case, I think my favorite series might of just died then, cause there’s no way I’m going to shell out for another console to play a meh Halo game again. I got burned pretty bad when I bought the One for Halo 5, all the hype, I really thought this was the come back title for the franchise.

If the current generation of consoles lasts as long as the previous generation, then I would assume any titles up to Halo 7 would be released on the Xbox One.
There’s a lot of talk and rumors that MS and Sony will both release upgraded systems this year or early next year (not next-gen, just incremental upgrades like the New 3DS)
Chances are that in the three year cycle, specifically 2018, the XBO will still be relevant enough for a port but who knows if it’ll be the focused hardware with a Xbox 1.5 on the market.

Beat me too it! But yeah, that would be a tough blow to Halo 6 if it was exclusive to a new console.

Really? I thought many people know it’s not gonna replace the console as the title of the console litterally says it’s not.
Halo 6 will almost certainly be on Xbox 1 X, however it is rather uncertain if it will be on the current console, seeing as the x1x is a rather powerful boost. (I would think so personally)
From the looks of it, the next Xbox seems to be the same as the Xbox one, except more powerful and everything that’s compatible with the Xbox one will be compatible with the new Xbox. I don’t see why it affecting the games at all.

Stop that. It isn’t uncertain.
Halo 6 will be on PC, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, and Xbox One. Why? It uses Win10 framework, x86 framework, and much like Halo Wars 2, will be an Xbox Anywhere title. Buy it once (digitally) and you will have it on literally everything you own that is Microsoft related.
Thread, this is not an uncertainty. All foreseeable future game releases by Microsoft will be on the Xbox One forward.

I blame that on new guys to the forums for not knowing the rule. But from the looks of things it feels like enforcement on necroposting like this has gotten very lenient. At least that’s how I’ve seen it the past 2 months or so.
