“Recently Halo 5: Guardians was introduced to Month of Mythic, this month is 100,000 REQ points or $10 for a dozen Prophet Banes. The Halo Community has suggested this has crossed the line, and too close to the infamous, and very disliked “pay to play” system that could turn into a full blown scheme like the such.”-----

the REQ system in my opinion is good but paying for REQs will ruined this game 343i don’t go down this path.
No, this isn’t pay to win.
Its capital greed at its finest…
No. The prophets bane will get you a couple free kills but people who are bad at the game are still going to be bad at the game regardless of how many prophets banes or nornfangs that they have. Warzone still takes coordination and skill. Mainly coordination. This Month of Mythic thing doesn’t change that.

Yeah, no, -Yoink- this, I’m not watching it.
This probably belongs in one of the larger “Month of Mythic” threads.
My opinion on this is:
No, it’s not Pay to Win, but it’s getting close.

the OBVIOUS answer is no, why you listen to channels like halo follower is beyond me, channels like that, are literal pretentious yoinks who sure they know everything about halo.
it is “pay to MAYBE get a few kills before you die and never get to use that weapon again” do you forget you have to actually be good enough to access the weapon? even after you paid to unlock it?
is halo 5 basically a 60 dollar free to play game? yes. (the monthly updates, the req system, the monthly rank resets, warzone basically being a moba) but it is not pay to “win” at all. because you have to be good enough with your own skills. i rarely, RARELY get to level 6-7 in warzone. so i never get to use the halo ce pistol, if it was pay to win, i would be able to use that pistol FOREVER, and from level 1
Oh yes because if i spawn a Prophets bane we will 100% no questions asked win that match! /s
Of course it’s not…
Absolutely not. I (and many, many others) have never paid one penny to the Req system and yet we have everything. The new mythic pack can be purchased with Req points. So just play, save and buy. If someone wants to spend money that is their choice. I never will spend money in the Req system and no one else NEEDS to either. So it’s more akin to play and win than anything else.

It’s more of a cash grab than pay to win
It’s greedy but not pay to win. A bad player will still be bad, even if they get a mythic weapon. It only serves to put the good players at a higher advantage but against bag players, they’d be able to get the kill regardless. The only time this (and the entire req system) can be considered pay to win is if both teams are exactly evenly skilled and have the same amount of communication but one team has good reqs and the other team doesn’t. Plus, the weapon is in the req system already. Lots of people already have it and even for those that don’t, it’s just 12 single use cards and an ultra rare or higher cert. It’s not going to break Warzone.
I used a prophets bane in a game and my team lost… no I didn’t get the mythic pack but it’s the same thing isn’t it? So if.I used a req that you can now “buy” by definition of pay to win my team should have won right? Or are the prophets bane in this pack different from the ones I get out of gold packs?

Picking off people with energy swords isn’t too hard. And people will now really be on the look out for the active camo. No it’s not. It’s…GIVE MICROSOFT THE MONEY!

no game history to defend your bible-sque literalism? It amazes me how proud people are to be taken advantage of. Merika!!
