Halo was never really that violent to begin with.
Really the things that gave Halo the rated M rating was the Flood, ODST and Reach were in the midst of a war, and Halo 4 had that lady disintegrating.

I can easily find people who are in love with Reach (I can’t say whether they started with it or not). In fact, here’s one right here from Reddit.

I’m not talking about individuals, I’m talking about the masses.
Even in Reach’s case, the best parts about it were almost everything except the gameplay. When people judge a game so well known for it’s MP, they’re largely judging the gameplay itself.
Campaign: Story sucks, gameplay is decent but lacking in variety. 4/10
Gameplay: A step up from Halo 4 and Halo Reach, but it’s still basically Halo 4 Lite, still full of modern and casual stuff. The maps tend to suck and the content is lacking. Passing grade. 5/10

Halo 4 hands down is the worst. Loadouts, weapon drops, no ranking system. What is that all about. Halo 4’s campaign is the only thing it does better compared to Halo 5.
I don’t agree op. When the Halo 5 servers work it’s possibly one of the best games out there. My problem with Halo 5 is what we’ve lost along the way, not just things I miss, but what others have listed in the forums too. No space battles, split screen, no playable elites, the massive shortage of 117 in campaign, no blood, hardly any armour customisation, no UNSC flying vehicles, no fire fight etc etc. We also have been asking for server selection etc. It’s not the worst, but it has lost a lot along the way.

I mostly agree, except that I thought that the soundtrack was fantastic. Prometheans are alright. Interesting to fight, and I really like those weapons.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say Halo 5 was the worse Halo made, that honor belongs to the MCC, however Halo 5 may be the tipping point for the franchise as a whole. Considering the fact that Halo 4 was not a very big hit with fans coming over from Halo 3, 343i was further put in the hole with the poor execution of the next two titles MCC and Guardians. Let’s just say Halo 6 may prove to be the fatal wound.
