Is Halo: 5 the worst Halo?

> No. I think halo 4 is worse.

Tbh I think I had more fun on Halo 4 than on Halo 5. I guess loadouts are what you don’t like about Halo 4, and you’re right, some, if not most of the elements are very annoying (I’m looking at you, Boltshot), but pretty much everything’s annoying on Halo 5

I don’t see why people keep saying Halo 5 has the best multiplayer. Sure, mechanically it is pretty tight. But the complete lack of game modes and the huge focus on MLG combined with very limited social gametypes, has really impacted the multiplayer experience, at least for me.

It’s too sweaty and not as fun as Halo 3 or Reach.

For me halo 5 is the best pvp experience I ever had in a halo game and maybe also in any fps. Never played that much of fps pvp than in this halo. Love the mechanics and gameplay.
On the other hand the campaign was a big let down for me. Not terrible but not what I experienced in all of the other halo games

Because everybody have a own opinion maybe? That’s why there are so many different kind of games. Ik suck at the halo pvp but I love every second I play it

Well that’s your opinion. And in my opinion, Halo 5 is one of the greatest games multiplayer wise, which you didn’t mention. And seriously who cares about what your armour looks like, I mean the armour is cool, but when are you going up to an enemy or friend to check out their armour. I agree that visor colour is a waste of time, and the campaign wasn’t that good. But you have to focus on the many positives. Is halo 5 the worst halo? Nope, that’s halo 4

Also if you are going to criticise halo 5, talk about the fact that there is no split screen…

If you look for my reply to a different post with the same title you can see my opinion on it

As to the comment on campaign it took me 4 hours 30 minuets or there about and i have evidence it was meant to be longer (here) also the 3 missions which just talked to people made me sick they such not be in a Halo game.

Mmhm. I’m gonna have to agree.

The customisation is locked behind randomised REQ packs, which you can buy. I can’t stress enough how damaging that is in itself to the Halo franchise. Most of the armour is also the same armour with different patterns. There’s no variation, just different patterns and rarity rankings. Compare this to Halo 3 or Reach, even 4 tbh, and it’s a pathetic attempt at customisation. Not to mention all aspects are trapped behind this wall. Emblems, stances, hell, even those darn visor colours they clearly thought was so important.

The campaign was terrible, not helped by the fact it was literally nothing like the ads. It also heavily relied on the player to know what’s going on in the Halo universe right now, which means picking up all of the Halo books and comics and mini series or at least having to read stuff online. We know how that went for Destiny, so why the hell would Halo try that too? And they’re still trying to drag out this Forerunner story arc which is frankly, straight up confusing. I even tried reading the Forerunner trilogy books to get a better understanding of what the hell is going on with this current story, but that only made it worse. Not only that, they decided to bring Cortana back! As a villain, no less! They could’ve left it at the end of 4 with that emotional and very well done scene between her and Chief, but they ruined that with this decision. A very disappointing campaign. It made no sense, and I don’t know how 343i decided it was ready to ship. It felt very unfinished.

The multiplayer is, I’ll admit, the most fun I’ve had in Halo since Halo 3. The other Halo games just didn’t grab me. Doesn’t mean it’s not without its flaws though.

What is with that ranking system, first off? Why base individual stats off a win/loss ratio in team games? Now I have no incentive to play well, because I know that even if I do and we lose, my KDA is going down. Not to mention the ranks reset. Both a good and a bad decision, tbh. Good, in that it keeps it fresh, but bad 'cause again, I don’t care how well I’ve done in this season, because it’ll all just reset anyway. The only possible incentive we’re getting for these seasons are emblems.

The banhammer is also terrible. I played a bit of Arena last night, but quit a match to go hop onto Warzone with my girlfriend. Got a 20min ban, but I didn’t think much of it. By the time WZ was over, the ban would be lifted anyway. After the end of the first match, it came up again. I didn’t read how long the ban was, but I assume it was a higher one, because at the end of the next WZ match, another one popped up still banning me from Arena for 5 and a half hours! I wasn’t even playing Arena and here I was, getting banned for 5 and a half hours. Ridiculous. That was only last night too. I’ve had other very frustrating incidents where the dedicated server would crash out and I’d still get a ban. This needs fixing.

I just wish some features from the other halo titles made it in such as the hyabusa armor set in halo 3 and the armor custom options from reach.

to be honest, i think that there is’nt a “worst halo game”, i think that halo 5 is probably in a tie with halo 4

H5 multiplayer is great, matchmaking works and I don’t even mind the req system, but what let’s H5 down is the campaign, the storyline was poor and the game play was repetitive. But Halo 5 is not the worst game in the series that prize will go to ODST didn’t like that game at all, give me Halo 3 or Halo reach any day those two in my opinion are by far the best Halo games.

Could be better, could be worse. If H5 was to be seen as the worst game of the Halo franchise (excluding those mobile games), then we have to look on the bright side and say that H5 could be a lot worse, even though it is considered the worst.

Note: I believe H4 is the worst, but that is my opinion.

Played the multiplayer of Halo Reach, Halo 4 and Halo 5. I liked every multiplayer so far. Halo 5 is just different than Halo 4 than Halo Reach. So i adapt to the new multiplayer and i have fun playing it.

What the hell were you playing on ? Easy ? I started on Legendary and it took me a good 14 hours.

> Now remember, we are still in VERY early stages of this game. Once it is complete with updates and stuff, it will be pretty good. Halo 3 was the best of all halos (in my opinion), but halo 5 has so much potential. If 343 would start listening to the players, like adding a falcon, this game would be better.

Halo 3? Best maps? Gametypes? Oh, bubble shields.

No.

That’s fine, because everyone else is of varying skill. You’re not playing against an entire team that’s your skill level or higher, there are people beneath you as well. If people needed to warm up or just lay back for a game where they could do decently without getting destroyed, Social was the answer. That’s no longer the case.

They won’t be spending their time pub stomping in social because they already have an advantage in Arena (because of no party matching) where they can rank up. Social is typically for people playing alone or small parties. The divide would be even more defined in H5 than in past games.

No problem you’re suggesting were a problem in previous games. Party’s would still go in to social to warm up or play casually and the same would happen here. Not sure why you’re still acting like social in H2 and H3 was a failed experiment when none of that -Yoink- was problem.

Give me evidence and I’ll shut up.

No it’s not the worst but it certainly isn’t the strongest.

> In my opinion Halo: 5 is the worst halo ever made, and personally I am offended by it. To me I feel 343 does not care about the Halo universe the way Bungie did. Halo: 5 has less armor customization ability than Halo: 3. What I mean by that is you can only change the entire armor set (legs, shoulders, chest all together) and the helmet. Yes, you can change the visor but big deal. Halo: 3 allowed you to change both shoulders, chest, and helmet. Don’t get me started on Halo: Reach (halo customization heaven). Yes, Halo: 5 has a lot of armor to choose from (and I mean a lot) however, most of it is recycled garbage. 343 seems to have shown no effort or creativity with the armor.
> The campaign in my opinion was utter -Yoink-; it was too short and ended terribly, and let’s not forget the fact that the previews for Halo: 5 were NO WHERE near accurate to the campaign. I feel 343 is just trying to get as much money as possible, something that can be seen with the new REQ system which allows you to buy the packs, making unlocking new armor pointless, and not even a challenge. I cannot begin to express how frustrated and down right upset the lack of effort that was put into this game makes me.
> I feel Halo: 5 was a giant middle finger to the Halo community and we all sat on it. There’s so much more that is just terrible about this game, and you all know what those things are. We all have our own opinions. Some of the things I hate you may love. I do love some features of Halo: 5 but, they aren’t enough to save it for me. I want to hear what you think. What’s your opinion on the game?

Well said sir !!!.

Nope it’s one of the best. I’ve played everyone not to mention 1,2, and 3 competitively.

This game is actually good.
