Yes. But I still love Halo 5. Being the worst Halo game doesn’t necessarily make it a BAD game; after all, Halo set a high standard.
No. Halo 3 ODST is just because it was originally released as a fully priced game which is crazy considering it was originally just supposed to be a Halo 3 expansion pack. If we’re not counting ODST, then Reach is simply because it is the game that started the downgrade of Halo multiplayer and community. Reach however had an amazing campaign, which is where Halo 5 is lacking. Halo 5 might possibly be the worst Halo campaign, but the multiplayer for Halo 5 is the most balanced and fun since Halo 3. I love Halo 5, and you should too.

It’s not the worse one
Halo 5 is the worst in most ways. I feel that other non slayer game types, like infection, aren’t completely awful. Halo 5’s Forge is the best I’ve ever seen in a halo game, the complete customizability of nearly everything really makes it a cartographers dream. Warzone was fun at the launch, but now it’s become clans fighting for Achilles and wiping out full teams.

Oh yes, I should love a game that forces you to use automatic weapons because they’re stronger than a tank. Everything might be balanced, but everything is completely overpowered so it doesn’t matter.

I don’t think their is a worst halo game but I agree that halo 5 had its faults. The armor customization was much better in reach. However I do like the new weapons

Everybody hates on reach because it added armor abilities. They cry because of sprint and jetpack. If you change a game everybody gets pissed, you don’t, they get pissed. The gaming community as a whole is toxic.
I enjoyed it. Story has flaws but still I loved the features for exploration of the areas in terms ofncollectibles and secret weapon armories also the expanded worlds and universe lore in the story was cool like Sanghelios mission and side story. Enjoyed finding the special REQ power weapons in the campaign hiding in places which will make coop with friends fun. Multiplayer is the best in series as far with a great combination of old school Halo arena and new school req feature with Warzone. I don’t like the REQ micro transactions but I do like the req system to have a catalog of all weapons and new gear in the Saga and so on. I’m having fun with the commendation packs and ranking up. I was surprised to get rare and ultra rare and even a few legendary out of bronze rank/commendation packs and daily win packs. So it might be lottery and luck but it pays off when putting in hours gives you a bada** armour, weapons and vehicles. It’s a great package now compared to its release and the MCC (I still play with ease now) even with all this negativity and criticism Halo will still have a solid community online and forums. Maybe not on the level of Halo 3 but generational changes happen. 343i has done mistakes but I blame Microsoft for not enough time or development funds. Happy that 343i wants to take time to still give us Halo regardless what issues are present. But I enjoy this halo more than H4 but H6 needs to go out in a bang so maybe hunt the truth might happen but I trust it will be a blockbuster ending and flawless online multiplayer. If it turns into a MCC release disaster than that would be a horrible way for 343i to end their trilogy but I know they are working hard and with a chip on their shoulder to make H6 the best halo it can possibly be. Hyped for that. But this community is loyal regardless of the negativity and hate from you and countless others. We don’t care if you leave and to stop being a halo fan like countless others, there is always new members on forums and online multiplayer. Kinda funny how the negative OPs claim to be loyal fans yet they leave and give up. If you ask me that’s a class A hypocrite. Loyal fans stay until the end or conclusion of the story or series. There is positive posts but the community is sometimes quiet to not get a drama queen all butthurt and spill sh*t on here. Less negativity the better, however construction criticism is good there and there as it has helped 343i in terms of future content as seen in the online and the recent campaign update. 343i is trying to do their best to make good halos with some innovation so it doesn’t get shadowed by Bungie’s legacy and not to get behind in the video game market. Regardless the small flaws, Halo is still one of the high quality FPS shooters that aren’t generic and actually show unique innovation separate from the genre. Keep it up 343i we all belivie yAll can do it with community love and support. Even with the short comings I’m happy that halo didn’t end when Bungie went on to Destiny.

Halo 5 is great screw the haters
yeah, i agree with you about campaign and it’s story and art direction, but the multiplayer is awesome.
Oh its one of these threads again. Well, considering the statistical numbers of Xbox One sales and Halo 5’s lack of a presence in the competitive gaming scene, its not hard to determine that the metacritic score is not off by much. I recently saw this Podcast and at the 27:00 mark they discuss Halo 5’s fall from grace. These are 3 fairly unbiased random gamer’s opinions that coincide with a majority of the Halo fan base. 343i falsely advertised a lackluster campaign to put focus on its unbalanced multiplayer aspect and Pay2Win RNG system. That much is apparent to the generalized gamer, who has by now, moved onto Overwatch most likely. If Halo 4 and Halo Reach were negatively received, then why did they continue the same mistakes? The general Halo crowd has been begging…PLEADING for meaningful content to come to Halo 5. Instead, you get the same REQ collections added monthly to pad your grind back into buying more packs. 343i doesnt give the slightest care into Halo as a series, and if they did, then why is nobody talking about Hog Wild? Because Hog Wild is literally going to be a “Free Update” based on selling Warthog skins…absolutely despicable. Halo used to be known for its slow paced, meaningful and strategic gameplay. Halo 5 guts all of those core formulas and then adds pathetic marketing schemes and empty, vague “free” content. Next time, do the game right. Change the game flow, add a season pass instead of free DLC, put all your available resources into R&D/QA and then tweak the story to match our expectations. Or else there wont be a next time.

Too true, the ironic part about the update for ‘hog wild’ is all I see is dredd for more things to farm through, it’s just getting a bit ridiculous just for the sake of a few slightly different textures.
