You play as both Chief and Locke, yes.

If having two playable characters is all that takes to be “The new halo 2” then that spot is already taken by Halo 3:ODST which had six.
For real though, halo 5 will be far more similar to halo 2 than halo 4.

Halo 5 Guardians is somewhat a new Halo 2. Double character in campaign, multiplayer generation, return of the SMG, and surely return of double weapons!
Think of it this way, halo 4 was 343’s halo ce and halo 5 is 343’s halo 2

No, it needs to stand on its own two feet (I am typing metaphorically for those who do not understand), and playing as two or more characters in the Campaign is not enough to make it the “New Halo 2”.
If it is, expect some GODLIKE multiplayer out of it, too.

It is common knowledge that all games have bugs, I do not need smart remarks out of you.
And no, bland and unoriginal landscape, very little life put into any NPC in the game, dull and cliche Main Quest, uninteresting side quests, and the overall fact that I have to install 100 mods just to actually enjoy Skyrim just proves that Bethesda did not even try to put effort into their game.
And phil spencer said in the making of vidoc that they are trying to innovate Xbox live (focusing on cloud aspect) with halo 5 as they did with halo 2.
